TheSuperNerd: At this rate,if u create another u-23 thread, people won't visit it that much.. the u-20 and u-17 threads u created have been inactive for long now.. even during the women world cup, this thread had more discussion on the super falcons than the women NT thread... Most people are already used to this thread and won't find it necessary to be moving between threads to discuss matters that are more or less the same... I mean a good number of those u-23 players are potential super eagles players... 7 Likes |

The reason the U-17 and U-20 threads stayed inactive is because I was basically the only one providing news there and once I went absent for months, it was bound to suffer inactivity. No one took up the task of keeping it running. People will always visit a thread that is updated. Also, people were already used to many previous threads we opened and we still moved on. It is not a bad idea keeping this thread running. I don't mind at all but saying another thread will be stressful is what I don't agree with because I and the older custodians here have moved on from previous threads with success. This thread is our longest ever on record and that is possibly why you and some others feel we should not consider another thread. In that case this thread should carry The Dawn of a new era and the roads to Tokyo 2020, Afcon 2021, & Qatar 2022. Chikena. Danielnino00: 1 Like 1 Share |

Una forget when Oliseh use one homr based sed player bench Mikel. Im kind of in the middle in this argument. I think when we talk about long term replacement we won’t find such in the domestic league. Players in the league can outshine some of our regulars for one match or two, but give them a run of games and u will see where the quality reality lies. NPFL players need Europe to get polished. the NPFL is too poor to make them better players. Until we improve our league, the situation will not change. I believe there are talents in the rough, if not in the NPFL, In the NNL. Many Domestic league coaches are too lazy to scout and develop players. They are just busy recycling known players andrew444: 2 Likes |

There are diamonds in the rough. And they can’t be top quality until they get tested in better leagues under the tutelage of good coaches. BARAJ92: 1 Like 1 Share |

Isn’t Ali one of the recycled players? He is one of the best among the crop. My initial post has already treated this. CHAN Eagles is usually handled by the same domestic league coaches with the same mindset. Do they really look for the best? tbaba1234: |

Joebie:Where is Onobi at the moment?? Look the likes of Siasia and Amodu were not stupid when they said what they did about our league. These guys have played and coached in the NPFL. Why would they want to bad mouth it?? The quality of the NPFL is not high. As at now - the best bet is getting players from the academy before they play in the league. 2 Likes |

In the past decade our academies have exported more players to europe than our npfl clubs. these exports makes almost 70% of the current super set up. the likes of awaziem, iheanacho, ndidi, success, moses simon, samuel kalu, dennis, okereke, awaziem, onuachu, oshimeh, chukwueze, esiti, mikel agu just to mention a few are all from various academies in nigeria. edi287: 1 Like |
