There is no hate. I know it's painful to admit that the person you admire so much is here to advance a dead career rather than help out. His motives are selfish. Deal with it.
But where did he say that he is here to help out.
And No, some of us don’t admire him because he is made, but because of his personality on the show.

You call his career dead? Lol who knows you Sis?

Well said dear kiss

Mike is the password this week.

nazablossom:
Please guys vote for Mike. Mike is a Nigerian just like you and I. It's not Mike's fault that he was not born in Nigeria and it's not the fault of Mike's mom that she went to search for greener pasture thereby giving birth to Mike outside Nigeria. And for the records Mike is not a Jamaican as some people state here. His mom already gave birth to Mike before marrying his Jamaican step father. All Mike has ever done is try to identify with his Nigerian people. Majority of us here also have relatives and friends living outside the country to better their lifes, does that make them less Nigerians? Are we now Racists that we accuse the Whites of? It will be so unfair if Mike is judged based on where he was born. Mike is not perfect but he tries his best to be of good behavior. As for taking the money outside the country, The aim of bbnaija is touch individual lives.

Please Mike doesn't deserve this punishment.

Are you kidding me? Is your process of assimilation this slow? Internal games does not and will never counts as an international game. Win 100 gold medals in a game organised by your locality, it does not count.

His IAAF ranking doesn't count seems he's the only one. Who is he ranked against? Kapish.

This post shows you are simply a dolt.

Someone who has competed in international events in USA, Czech republic, etc is who you term as an internal game athlete? Why not go through his profile on IAAF website and cure yourself of your obvious nauseating ignorance and foolish comments borne from that ignorance and save all of us from the pain of this stupidity you wish to feed us all with.

https://www.iaaf.org/athletes/nigeria/mike-edwards-251882

Note that it clearly states on his IAAF profile that he is representing Nigeria now. Then feel free to snoop around his profile so your ignorance can be cured.

And your motives make no sense any which way you look at it.

You claim he is being selfish but on the flip side you have been shown that it is in the favour of Nigeria because Nigeria has had no highjumpers for 50 years. This is a plus for Nigeria

You claim he is not Nigerian on the flip side you have been shown he has a right to dual citizenship and even England has released him to Nigeria to compete for us which shows he is also Nigerian as well as British.

You claim he has never jumped professionally but only did so in high school and you have been proven wrong yet again.

You claim his career is dead yet he has held bronze, silver and most recently gold medals just last year which also proved you wrong

You still wish to continue arguing senselessly

As a self acclaimed lawyer you should know when your argument is useless and has been thrown out.

What then is the purpose of your nonsensical merry go round of a useless argument?

How you go about trying to flip my words and statement is crazy. Go through my comments.

1. I said his dad is Jamaican and that makes him a Jamaican by default. Ofcourse he could claim Nigerian citizen by virtue of his mum.
(which he did) I never argued against his right to Nigerian citizenship.

2. I said his coming to Nigeria to join IAAF was selfish simply because he knows his career has been shelved in Britain and he wouldnt grow there anymore. He knew he couldnt grow there anymore. The last time he jumped for Britain (outside Britain) was in 2009 when he was 19.

If you see anything different front these points, search for it and quote me.

Na so.

The only reason Mike wanted to compete for Nigeria was because he knew fully well that he doesn't stand a chance against the A-list athletes the UK churns out on a daily across athletics.

Mike is simply a Z-List athlete who just wants to ride on the Nigerian flag to fame. He only came back home because Nigeria is the only place where he stands a chance at competing. Even if he did, he won't be winning any major medal.

If he so much loved Nigeria and wanted to identify with his roots, why didn't he start competing for Nigeria from the inception of his athletics career? For all I care , if his stepdad had adopted him, I have no doubt that he would have chosen Jamaica over Nigeria.

His minions are here shouting athlete upandan, anyone who competes in Ogbomoso Grammar School interhouse sports is automatically a professional athlete in their eyes, as long as he comes xomplete with an accent.

How are we even sure his mother is from Lagos? Who are his family members and cousins?

For your information, getting the passport of a third world country like Nigeria is easy. My uncle has a Mozambiquean passport, and he has only ever spent 3 weeks in that country. Nigerians go to BENIN republic on a daily to get Beninoise passport. So?

Mike is British. Simple And Nigerians should not vote for an international renegade. We must show loyalty to One of our own, and Mike isn't that.
Some of you and your dumb analogies. should we crucify the likes of Leon balogun or wilfried zaha who later switched? for an Olympic team of like 50 people representing a whole country is there any crime in not being good enough for country a but good enough for country B. Ask urself in academic or sport are you even good enough to represent ur Street. Sit down and stfu.

Here we go again with your lies.

You first claimed his dad is Jamaican and you were shown that it is HIS STEP DAD that is Jamaican. You then jumped on that and said even if his step dad is Jamaican does not mean his dad isnt Jamaican and now you are back to claiming his Dad is Jamaican and also claimed you are stating only facts.

How in the face of the above did you manage to graduate from law school? Is this the kind of so called lawyers being pushed out now? Half backed nit wits with zero analytical ability but who just go around throwing unfounded stories around and claiming they are facts even in the face of clear facts which state otherwise.

He never came to Nigeria to join IAAF he has always been ranked by IAAF before he came to Nigeria. Stop being a confused soul.

I repeat my last prayer for you. May stupidity stop being your shadow in Jesus name

IAAF is not a Nigerian organisation, Mike has been recognised by IAAF since he became a Professional Athlete for Britain. So how did he now come to Nigeria to join IAAF. It is just like saying when Alex Iwobi decided to play for Nigeria as against England whom he played for as a youth that he came to Nigeria to join FIFA.

Stop shooting yourself on the legs.

This is for the people saying Mike is broke, he is a unknown athlete, he doesn’t have anything. Yes, you are correct and that is why he needs the 60M to help him build his career.

I have never heard him say he is rich or an Olympic medalist, so what’s the fuss about? Is there a law that says you can’t claim your mother’s nationality?

A lot of you here want to run to Canada, America, Australia and even terrible countries like Indonesia as long as you are out of Nigeria in search of greener pasture. Someone chose to come back to represent his mother’s country and make a name for himself and it is suddenly a problem.

Mike is broke and he needs the 60Million and that is why we Stan him.

Call him out for his acts in the house and not some nationality gibberish. He has a Nigerian Passport ffs.
lol abi. He is broke that's y we r voting him. We agree he is extremely broke. Thank you. Be a good samaritan too by voting him.

Let me further expose your unfounded lies.

You say the last time he jumped for Britain internationally was when he was 19 right? Check his IAAF profile.

He jumped for Britain in Czech republic in 2014 which is 5 years ago,

He is 29 now so this means he jumped internationally when he was 24 and not 19

So where did you get 2009 and 19 years from when he jumped internationally 2014 when he was 24?

Do you see your foolishness slapping you around?
