NEVOH: Are you transcribing from a phone? If yes, asides from mistaking one speaker for another due to similar voice sound or inaudible sounds, when you're proofreading your work after transcribing or scrolling down your work page, be careful how your fingers touch your screen. A slight unnoticed touch from your fingers can change your speaker tag and ruin your entire work. So, watch your fingers after all due diligence. 2 Likes |

Re: Self Employment Opportunity: Transcribing For A Living In Nigeria Part 1 by generationz(f): 6:19pm On Jul 31, 2019 |
NEVOH: I also got penalized for inverted speakers twice even after i checked it well. I'm very sure where they are accusing me of is their fault. I remember the call well and i didn't make that mistake. |

Thanks @D1uncle 1. Total time. Go for calls below 3 min with less that an hour total time. It maybe few. But just patiently wait till you can find them Thanks @psyqs ...If you download the audio file, you won't have problem with timestamp and if a call is too complicated, I just release the call, shikenan. Stick with this and you'll be able to thrive on the platform. Anymore suggestions? 2 Likes |

generationz: It's just like, when someone passes exam and applauds himself for working hard, and then fails and claims the lecturer hates him and the whole school is rigged against him when there are others in dat classes with A's in dat course. Mistakes are a part of life, so we should aim to look for a way to reduce the mistakes we make not blame others for our mistake. U can take a screenshot of ur full transcript b4 submitting to prove that they edit ur transcript one way or the other... Because of this ur comment, ohers that have interest in it might just say fokk it, the system is rigged against me so no need for me to join. 2 Likes |

Re: Self Employment Opportunity: Transcribing For A Living In Nigeria Part 1 by samsard(m): 7:03pm On Jul 31, 2019 |
generationz:One "yeah" assigned to wrong speaker is still inverted. One missing okay as a response is auto 1 because it alters the flow I was like you at first but I became humble once they pointed out my wrongs. You should check the rating guide. 1 Like |

generationz: Courtesy of @drawnobet To get/extract audio from sites that have some form of audio embedded such as on our transcription site, first open the job an click on next statement once then you do CTRL+SHIFT+I on Chrome on PC to open Inspect elements, then click on F5 to refresh page then go to Media under Network to see what is happening. You should see one two or more audio files there. Right click on the largest one and open in new tab, it will either open in new tab or start downloading. Once done open the audio file with VLC or some other strong audio software because the file will not be in a recognizable format for the baby audio software. 2 Likes |

Biggieboy:Bro calm down small. I never really said they were the one. From my statement I said "Are they really responsible or is it from me?". My intention was to be cleared by old hands in the game, to be sure it was from me and not otherwise. And I have really been trying since I started. Getting a rating of 4 and 5 back to back. But like I said, one of the challenges I have is the inverted speaker ish, which I don't know how I always mistakenly invert the speakers despite my careful review before submission. And I use a laptop to transcribe. I have heard you and will try my best to be more careful and follow instructions well this time. 2 Likes
