I have called UKVI and the lady I spoke to said it was not possible but when she checked she was really amazed. Please, call them also so they are aware that this is not just an isolated issue. beholddean: |

Good afternoon house. Please I need your input. I am a UK citizen now though born in Nigeria. I am married and my wife is with me in UK. I have a girlfriend in Nigeria and we have a son together. I want to invite my mother and want her to bring my son with her when coming for 4 weeks and both of them will return to Nigeria after 4 weeks. Please what are the document I need to provide from my end for my son and what are the things my girlfriend in Nigeria need to supply as well for my son for the application. My son is a year now and my mother has been to UK twice in the past. Thank you. |

Seunmak: From girlfriend:- 1.Birthday certificate of your son which include your name and your girlfriend's name 2. Letter of consent from girlfriend giving permission for your son to visit u. 3. Son's passport 4. DNA report ( Not sure if this is very important) 5. Girl friend Passport data page 6. Staff ID if she is working On your own part ( If you are the one sponsoring him) 1. Data page of passport 2. Six months statement of account showing sufficient money for your son's traveling tickets and living expenses while in the UK. 3. Employment letter and staff ID 4. Six months payslips 5. Invitation letter 6. Cover letter. Summarize and give detailed explanations on what u want the ECO to know, include both the accommodation in the cover letter. I.e During his vacation in the UK, my son will be staying with us. 7. Tenancy agreement, water bill and light bill as proof of address 8. You can add pictures of you and your son incase you have any. I think this is the relevant documents u need. Others can add to the documents if there is any. |

Good evening all. I got a mail they my passport is ready, so I rushed and picked it. But surprisingly, there’s no visa nor letter attached. We where 3 ( 2 student visa and 1 visit) that had similar issue, so they advised we drop our passports that they would get back to us. Please who else has noticed this? I believe it could’ve an omission. Please who has noticed or experienced this before? |

Justblow:I do understand you are so angry with the ECO blunders but put into considerations other reasons by The ECO, first reading your refusal letter, uve probably overstayed in UK before or otherwise and told to leave. If you keep applying, you will be refused, the only solution for you to enter UK is through settlement visa, right to family life will override that bad record of you been told to leave UK. You only concerned about the ECO blunder on your income calculations but you are not worried you have been told to leave UK in 2008. 1 Like |

Seunmak: DNA report is not needed for your son since you are applying for a visiting visa for him. Birth Certificate and photos of you and him is enough |

Victor4visahelp: So my oga, from this, I am only entitled to a one year ban, I have evidence and I submitted all with my application. I will appreciate if anyone can give a possible suggestion to addressing the ECO blunder. Thank you for your contribution, first I need to let you know that I was never removed from the UK, I left voluntarily which I know has its own ban duration. I will be making some attachments to this, so that you no that I did not just wake up and apply without first knowing the rules and moreover, the ECO judgment was based on the merit of this application as written clearly on the letter. If he had denied me based on my travel history, I can still contest it.

What you need to do is reapply at a later date and in your cover letter, articulate clearly but politely the blunder. Try and explain down to the letter the issue and support it clearly with backed breakdown of your financial inflows (income) and outflows (expenditures) on a separate spreadsheet document. As in breakdown and explain all entries on your bank statement to back your claims. Make it so explicit that whoever sees it don't need to think twice and you will get it. Justblow: 1 Like |

Victor4visahelp: Not true. Every body case is different. There are some that have been told to leave, overstay, banned for 10 years they still apply for visa and come out honest, apologize to ECO, make fresh application, the ECO still pardon and give visa. At first it might be refused but not impossible to get tourist visa again. For the settlement visa u mentioned, he can only apply to settle in the UK if he gets married to either British citizen or a person that have indenfite leave to remain. (ILR). He will still have to come out honest again concerning his previous application. If he is in Nigeria making application for settlement visa just note that he can only apply for settlement visa 2ru spouse, fiancé and ancestry visa. More so there is age limit on one applying for some settlement visa from Nigeria (i.e if any of the parent are British and want to bring in a child, the child must not be more than 18years old) He can only make application in the UK if only he got married to British, ILR,have kids in UK, have stayed a long time in UK, that is where he can put application based on family life. My advice to @Justblow is to admit some of the objections that the ECO raised. He should give himself one year before making another fresh application, travel to other countries and also make apologies for overstaying in the uk, I am sure by God's grace u will be granted visa& another opportunity to visit again. |

Hello house, I bring good news. I just got my visit visa valid for 6 months . My dad is a business man that travels to the UK regularly to bring in electronic goods for wholesale sales, so I applied on the basis that he's getting on in age, and I want to take over the importation protocol. Timeline : TLS Lagod 18th May: Submitted online application 6th June: Biometrics and assisted service for document upload 16th July: Received email stating 'Application Concluded and Decision made' 29th July: Passport ready for pickup 1st August:Picked up passport with visa approved These are the documents we submitted with their application: Mine: 1. Invitation letter from our UK business partners 2. My 6 months statement of account 3. My hotel booking reservations 4. My tax ID card and tax clearance certificate Dad: 1. Introduction letter, introducing me as one of the directors of the company 2. Copy of his previous UK visa 3. Company CAC certificate 4. Land C of O 5. 6-months bank statement 6. Letter of sponsorship, indicating he will be the sponsor of this trip and additional information explaining the kind of goods to be purchased by his son 7. Receipts of previous transactions with our UK business partners 8. Bill of lading documents of previous shipments 9. His tax I'd card and tax clearance certificate Thanks to everyone who contributes here, this is my first time even sending messages to this particular platform, but believe me I've used every message here as a guide on what to do and what not to do. I was scared as f**k that I was going to be denied because my account had some lump deposits that were unexplained, but I guess they just focused on the account of the sponsor, and forgot about my account. Glory be to God. I appreciate all of you, and for those still seeking Visa, may God satisfy all your heart desires, I pray. 1 Like |
