I can see that in your quest to build credibility here, like you were advised to, you have resorted to bringing conversations that are most relevant on the forex thread here with the haughty assumption that folks here are not conversant with them. When did the Fed fund's rate become the global benchmark for international transaction? Have you heard of LIBOR before?
Why would a mere 25 bp cut in the fed funds rates have a domino effect on the rates of other countries? Are you aware that there was an inverted yield curve in the US in Q1 of this year? Didn't you see the forecast for today at 2.25%? In fact, the rate was at 1.50% at the beginning of last year, so ain't nothing surprising in the cut. Go and look at the performance of the dollar against other pairs, the average loss is about 100 pips, so there is nothing special here oga.
When the US started raising rates in 2016, the BoJ moved rates to negative territory and it is still there. The BOE decreased its rate in 2017, leveled it up in 2018, and went 25bps up in 2019, look at the last MPC vote, all nine members voted for a hold, so no rate cut is coming from Carny and his gangs. Go look at what Draghi and his own gang did, what about the SNB? So, there is no established correlation between the movement in rates of the major economies.
We have seen the Bernanke QE era, the Draghi "do whatever it takes" regime, the conservative Carney move from the BOC to the BOE, and the crazy Abenomics, so don't come and blow the effects of a mere 25bps out of proportion in the false hope that you're enlightening some novices here.
The tall and short of this my rambling is that you are trying too hard to impress in the hopes of catching a big fish. As usual, you can continue living in self-denial and heed to the advice of those that are leading you astray. There is nothing that you need to know that I have not laid out here.

How is volume a leading indicator?
It happened in the period past doesn't mean it will happen in future.
Market is not machine o.
Market can be very irrational. When there is a public offer, a certain number of shares is distributed in varying amounts to different people. Over time, the quantity of shares remain the SAME. just like you have the law of conservation of matter in Physics, I can choose to call this the law of conservation of stock quantity. Everyday, different people buy or sell for different reasons. The volume bought or sold is what I keep track of. This is what the TAPE shows you - EXACT AMOUNT TRANSACTED on the buy side and sell side. If the buy volume exceeds the sell volume, there is a rise in price. The opposite is also true for a decline it price. When I mention volume, this is what I mean. It is different from what others do in the financial market. The closest to what I do is VWAP but they didn't make the computation robust enough to use for other trading periods apart from intra-day. Let me ask a question that would get us thinking a bit: If stock XYZ traded 7million units yesterday and closed BULLISH, does this mean that NOBODY sold stock XYZ yesterday? If at least one person sold then what quantity out of the total obtainable 7million units did he sell? This is what I compute period by period and then create a one-on-one mapping back to price to create exact price points. So that I can now enter either at the exact volume adjusted level or at the nearest support (when buying). Ehen, because you have given me an opportunity to post let me update the house on the progress thus far on my currency trading account today. |

Anyway, ur sins are forgiven. ...to err is human, to forgive devine. There's absolutely no need to hold anything against u or anyone else for that matter. I hope u learn a lesson from this going forward.
As for ur question, I think u should 1st ask why u bought the stock, and what u really want out of it. The 1st question defines ur PERSONALITY, while the 2nd sets out ur GOAL/TARGET. ...and somewhere in between should lie ur investment HORIZON. It's very important to lay out these factors before u consider buying any stock. I can assure u that when u do, u'll ask less of the question u just did. The effective combination of all 3 factors and efficient use of them is what makes u a STRATEGIC market player. ...which is a very pivotal step for any investor/trader, if u intend to WIN more and lose less in the stock market. But before then, u also need this;
"To find out if u can SUCCEED more in the stock market,1st find out if u have the RIGHT TOOLS that can navigate through the worst of times and which can stand the test of time. ...otherwise, go and 'buy' it." ~Sinclair
I once wrote an article on this. ...take ur time to read thru it using the link below;
