Where are the Elders of NSEMPA? This is the time to encourage the fainthearted ooooo. Should we average down or wait to bail out when the market rebound. I feel like putting school fees into this market for short term gains but I am not sure if I will not bite my fingers.

Don't let your short time strategy turn to looooonnng time o.
If you have free cash you can use it to do short time, with good emphasis on stop loss...if the trade goes against you , you can easily cut your losses and move on but please don't use your school fees.

On a lighter note, hope you are not holding more than is necessary of banking stocks because they are cheap grin

I have UBA and Zenith. the average price of purchase of zenith is 21.87 and UBA 7.45. My focus really was on both but I better keep the money for the purpose.

MY TAKE ON GTB... wink
...I think the current situation on NSE should gladden investors cum traders alike, as stocks are now relatively cheap to buy. Looking at today's result, GTB was mentioned as one of the stocks with a 52 week low (thanks to @Intendy) and with the monthly outlook of the stock still looking bearish, more downside still anticipated.

Highlighted below are 2 zones expecting to see market reaction in an attempt to reverse the trend. At the bottom of Price Rejection 1, GTB would have lost close to 80% of its profits started in 2016. Any attempt for price to violate this level will indicate Price Rejection 2 will be inevitable - all upside rally eroded.

Technically, the area of liquidity void on GTB will be filled when the price falls to N26, so any other fall in price is a "jara"

Needless to say long term buyers could benefit greatly below Price Rejection 1 as indicated on the chart.

...thanks sir. I wrote some comprehensive write up of general NSE outlook on Saturday, but the system removed it. Since I don't keep my posts personally, I can't get it back. However, on FUGAZ, I will take a look & provide my opinions on them.

As the price keeps going down, they become more attractive and tempting.
Nobody knows how low they will go and that get to show how frustrating FA can be.

I have reached my allowable limit for a single stock in my portfolio with zenith, hence,I have stopped buying. There is still some room for more units of uba but I am not comfortable with a situation where banking stocks will be more than 70% of my stock holdings.
On the look out for other stocks in other sectors that are relatively cheap......

@BullBearMkt, you are on point with your analysis. I have attached here my analysis on GTBank and I have strong reasons to believe a massive uptrend is in the works based on the day-chart in unison with other indicators.

Also, I strongly doubt if GTBank would get down to 26, which is below the major resistance line, unless 2Q results are disappointing, which I doubt.

Lastly, the 52 week low for GTBank is 26.65, which occurred on the 9th of July this year.

Averaging down in a bear could be very frustrating
You will soon become exhausted
Not only that, the emotional torture of waiting endlessly for the bull which could take several months to even break even. So, instead the wise thing to do is to wait out the bear. Trust me a market that has been bearish since February last year will not just turn bullish over night. The index go siddon yakata for ground well well first.
The people who know how to study bottoms know when the first sign of a bullish breakout announce. Then you buy your stocks and you continue to top it up even as prices move up, hence the phrase 'average up.
The good thing about waiting to trade in a bullish market is that you improve your efficiency, make your profit faster and get out near market tops.
