A friend of mine applied on the 23 June in lagos, and yesterday she got a call from Access bank headquarter Lagos, asking her did she submit her bank statement to the south African embassy for Visa, she said yes, they said OK and ended the call. I think they are currently working on her application.

Yes i know it's for your kids, you said that in your previous post.
The birth Certificate is also for my daughter( 4month old) not mine. I was issued Visa but she wasn't .
REASON FOR REFUSAL.......""Birth certificate lacks credibility""
Spoke to a lawyer friend at the Ministry of Justice Abuja and that was how I got to know that it can only be done at the FCT Abuja

Your child's birth certificate must be certified at the Ministry of foreign affairs in Abuja. My daughter's visa was denied in January for the same reason of her birth certificate lacking credibility. Had to authenticate it first at the Ministry of Foreign affairs before resubmitting it. Relative Visa it was tho.

Good day. Pls how much do you spent at Ministry of foreign Abuja?

Only at Abuja. Yes you will certify your marriage certificate there too.

Hi Blissfulchild1. Pls,is it only my birth certificate I will certify or mine and relative person birth certificate will certify? Pls do guide me.....

Also,do you help someone to certify at Abuja?

Hey guys. I am aware that the visa appointment system has been cancelled yesterday. Anyone can walk in and submit now. Though priority would be given to those with earlier appointments.

Hello guys I came to Lagos on Tuesday to book an appointment with VFS when I walked into the room I spoke to the woman who was in charge that I want to book an appointment

that is a date on when to submit my documents she then asked me

are your documents ready

I said yes

then she gave me a number and told me to sit down

I was shocked because I was expecting to go back home the next day so I was like wow so God favoured me

so that's good

But at that time I didn't have my flight ticket and my hotel reservation ready so I just went outside quickly went to a cyber cafe and had it done.

When It got my turn there were some corrections wish I had to do.

my employer didn't sign on my sponsorship letter also he didn't give me introduction letter so they couldn't attend to me yesterday.

So the next day which is today 1st of August I went there and I told them I was there yesterday but I was told to make some corrections so I'm here today so the woman gave me another number and told me to sit down.

what I'm trying to say is that for those of you who are still at home expecting to do your submission on the date you have been appointed, you are wasting your time.

I will advise you to get your documents ready and go straight to Lagos and submit immediately forget about the scheduling

before I came to Lagos I booked an appointment via email with VFS but they didn't respond on time it was when I was already in the VFS room after I had been given a number that I received an email from VFS telling me that they have scheduled me for September 6 and I was like do I need to go home again when I've already been given number.

so it's a waste of time

Go to VFS Lagos if your documents are ready.

Good morning guys, please do vfs work (lowkey) over the weekend? Also, please I need advise I have been tracking my application and for the past 5 days it's stuck on... Received and under assessment at the SA high commission... But everyone that we submitted together on same day for the same event (though mine was later (after hours) than theirs) got theirs yesterday evening but I didn't. Please does that mean mine won't be granted and please what can I do. My flight is scheduled for Monday afternoon. I am planning to go straight to the vfs centre on Monday morning, would that be a wise decision please? Advise.

Hi Guys,

Please is R850,000 gross salary in cape town a good pay for someone earning N550K net in Nigeria?

Also, which area in cape town has high concentration of Nigerians and what is the average cost of rent per month in such areas.

Thanks.

R850,000 is about R71,000 per month before tax I guess. Your take home pay after tax deductions, pensions, and medical aids could be around R40,000-R45,000. This is what an average university professor in SA takes home every month. This will put you among the top 25th percentile on a national income hierarchy. If this is a permanent employment , it is good. You will be able to buy a house ( if you are a PR holder), and of course most banks will give you loans for cars and anything... Your children will go to better schools. However, you may have to be careful of a place with high concentration of Nigerians...Congats.
