Same thing happened to mine just few weeks ago.

I was watching a video on Netflix when suddenly it went dead. I went to their service centre, they said the motherboard was gone. They fixed it free for me though

this after sales confidence is very much needed in the nigerian market space considering the array of midrange samsung phonea out in d market ryt now

I don't know, am finding it hard to return to Samsung after meeting a huge disappointment in their J6 2018, the camera and display was 4/10. I don't want something I will use 97k to buy A50 and only to be disappointment in camera, I will still manage my Nokia 6.1 plus jejelly. it is not till I buy Samsung of 150k and above before I see quality.

That's a lie. For a factory-related error such as a motherboard issue, Carlcare would fix for free as long as it's still within the one-year warranty period.

They only charge for broken screen and other user-generated problems.

Instead of you to criticize the fact that your Samsung phone's motherboard got condemned shortly after you bought it, you still found a way to bring Infinix and Tecno into this. Nonsense!

I use a Samsung Galaxy A7 (2018), but I won't hate on Tecno and Infinix for any reason. Each company is serving its own portion of the market.

I think it's an update thing. take the receipt and go to any service centre around you it will be upgraded in 1week and returned to you. keep the job order for pickup. This is based on experience I have seen two cases same A30 but note you might not get all the docs

The day I bought my Galaxy A30, I was told that situations like this would arise if I didn't update the phone immediately. The sales rep said I should try & update it within a week. I bought an Airtel sim & updated the phone which was about 350mb. The phone is blazing and awesome.

Actually got banned yesterday, would have replied you (I made a post and it was sent twice owing to Bad internet reception here. Tried to correct one of th multiple posts by representing it with a dot. Anti spam banned me).
Well, I have me an eye for A30 but my money can go for A20. I desired to Google search anyone that got a38 recently and wants to sell at affordable price, hence me stumbling on this trend..... Oliver twist. By the way, That issue that OP had, is it a manufacturer issue peculiar to this model or its common to recent models?

All Samsung generally goes to relaxation mode, hence u need to force restart it. In fact virtually all smart phone does.

I think I kinda get what you are saying... My infinix note 3 pro sometimes does like its head is not correct until I restart the phone before it's head will be correct "back" grin.
But in all, a simple restart is fine. Why will one have to go a lil techy like the one you explained earlier on to OP.? And also, is it something that happens once in a blue moon or a frequent reoccurrence?
Can it be avoided? (sorry sey my questions wan plenty)
