kettykin: I really don’t know much about the history of Onne port to be honest unless if I read it up. Please can you tell me why Jonathan did not rehabilitate the port when he was president to make it the economic hub and reduce the dominance of the Lagos port? I’m waiting for your reply. 12 Likes 3 Shares |

Brought in my first SUV through here in 2003 (courtesy, wayward shipping agent). I wonder why people complain about non-functioning ports in the east. 10 Likes |

TundeBricklayer: Tunde can't you just inform people without having to be tribalistic in your comments. Nobody is witch hunting anybody. We are all glad that the eastern ports is now open to traffic. I'm igbo too before you start to spew tribalism as usual of you 8 Likes 2 Shares |

YorubaHero12: Jonathan pursued an all embracing developmental program devoid of ethnic sentiments and did not focus development on his Niger Delta region, thinking this would please his critics and make them realise he is detribalised. i really blame Jonathan for this . Jonathan pleased his critics and displeased his people. 3 Likes |

kettykin: Lol, so Jonathan actually achieved nothing with regards to this port. Now the port is starting to make wave under the government of Buhari, don’t you think you should at least adduce some sort of praise to him. You hated Buhari and it’s evident of course, but at least try to acknowledge his best when he’s right and criticize him when he’s wrong. 12 Likes 2 Shares |

seguno2: Port Development , like Power and Rail was taken out of the development of private sector until recently that power was given back to the private sector because the Goverment could not maintain and run an efficient power sector |

YorubaHero12: Am not here to argue about Buhari being hated or not hated , i personally dont have any issue with Buhari. I am here to talk about the paradign shift , a fundamental change in the Business Model of Igbo Importers that is about to be unveiled with Onne Ports coming back to live and the with the failure of Apapa Roads and the inability of Lagos Government to handle Congestion in Apapa. This shift will be the second wonder of the Mordern world and will be compared to the Return of the Jews to Israel after the second world war |

kettykin: Here you go again chestbeating over nothing, can we actually say this is some form of disability embedded in you guys DNA. Do you know Onne port has been functioning even before now it’s just that it has low patronage? Can you tell me where the market for goods is concentrated in Nigeria ?? Lagos right If you import cars or other goods through the Onne port Where are you gonna sell it at, mostly Lagos right considering the spending power of the people in Lagos. If I import goods through Onne port, I still have to use ground transportation to take them back to Lagos right thereby incurring more transport cost and other miscellaneous. That form the major bulk why people prefer Lagos port. Well let’s give it 3 years and we’ll all come back to see if your analogy is right or wrong judging by your last sentence. 12 Likes 3 Shares |

YorubaHero12: They're an annoying bunch they've been lying for years only to comeback chestbesting. Even the article says they been steadly increasing over 3 years meaning they always had option. Over the last three years, the WACT terminal has seen significant increase in volumes resulting in its investment in various containers handling equipment such as five reach stackers, two empty handlers and 14 terminal trucks. 989900: They arent importers and they dont read. If they knew and still said this nonsense they're just liars. 8 Likes 1 Share |
