A Call That Broke My Heart by Jbleenk: 12:04pm On Aug 03, 2019
I got a call that broke my heart this morning, 3rd Aug. I wouldn’t say it was a random call.

I actually met this young lady once and we exchanged numbers. I hoped to meet her again so we could have good time. However, on meeting her the second time, I wasn’t particularly impressed so I cunningly discharged her.

About 2 months later, I got a flash from a strange number. Called back but number was busy, tried later again and got through. She reintroduced herself before I remembered who she was.

Then the story began. She came across depressed. 3min into our convo’ I’d started shedding tears. From our convo’ I could tell she’s lonely, very lonely. She wanted to speak with someone but there was nobody. While scrolling through her contact list she came across my number and decided to put a call through.

She poured out her mind sobbing intermittently in between. Her dad hasn’t been helping, her siblings are struggling too and could be of no help and her mum isn’t anymore. She sounded like she would end it all, like she had no hope left. Her sobbing was deep and heartfelt but she managed to say her mind in between it. Her story is a reflection of how cruel life could be to some.

I had to send her something which is quite insignificant in the light of things.

I really wish I could do much more, actually I could do much more that’s why I’m reaching out on this platform. I really hope she gets a lot more than she need at the moment. Guys pls let’s give a helping hand.

Her account details and phone number below:

Ps: I got her permission to do this. I’m sure something, no matter how small, will go a long way.

Wish Nairaland has a video call thing to be sure of these things.

Can’t be crazy to just send money to someone that could be a scam. No way. Send at your own risk.

Why don’t you work with a moderator? So he calls you and the lady and Verify and then we will send.

You have to believe me. I’m not out to scam anyone. I don’t know the lady one on one not even sure she if she’s lying or not but I felt compelled to do something.

Trust me. I have more than 100k in my personal acc balance. I’m not into scamming people. Trust me. I feel the lady needs help.

We first met briefly, very briefly to exchange numbers then we fixed a date. The next meeting was a bit more detailed. I have to be blunt here she can’t fit in my social circle so I cut short our meeting.

Deleted her number and never contacted or hear from her until today, about 2 months later when she called from the blues maybe out of needing a listening ear, someone to speak to.

I have been labeled all sort cause I felt a fellow country person is in dare need of financial assistance, I’m not even perturb about all the insults. It does not affect me in any way whether anybody helps her or not. It’s a mistake soliciting for help on her behalf especially when I don’t have enough hard evidence to back up my claims.

I’m not gonna go on with it anymore, will just hope life treat her kindly and do little I can.

Honestly I didn’t think this would attract this much attention in the first place.

Realized I had same issues with other transactions I did today too and maybe all other transactions. Check pic below.
