Twitter user @StRiCtLySasi shared this. What do you think? Was the lady wrong to have stated her marital status before talking about her business? See more here; http://gistmore.com/lady-tackles-nigerian-women-carrying-marriage-title-on-their-head

Many have fought, battled other women and worked their entire life to get such title...thus want the whole world to acknowledge their marital status...even though irrelevant here. 7 Likes |

Inasmuch as the woman's correction of "Mrs or ms" was needless, unnecessary. It's not carrying marriage on the head, because I feel for married people. Marriage is hard and I don't think I can do that |

How she chooses to address herself is none of your business. She is married and it is what it is. You carry your career, business and self-love on your head. You don't want another woman to carry her own marriage on her head? Is it your head? That said, Ms doesn't indicate the marital status. It can be used when you are not sure of a woman's marital status and do not want to offend by assuming she is a Miss or Mrs (which are actually very specific titles). 11 Likes |

I recall last yr or so when hillary clinton was addressing herself as a proud mother and wife on her social page and chimamander started attacking her. I wonder if its a crime now for a woman to be happy in her marriage. 2 Likes |

ornicus: Ehn, she is married na. Married women should now be afraid to introduce themselves as "Mrs" or identify as married because some chick will take offence? 1 Like |

When some ladies dey go shilon every year just to get that title. Every Sunday, hear the numbers of testimonies from ladies thanking God for changing their marital status from single to married. If ladies nor dey find that title, why them dey disturb their boyfriend for marriage. I guess the lady complaining is not married or she's not happy in her marriage or she nor even get boyfriend at all and her clock don dey pass. |
