dhardline: No road built in Lagos will last 50 years no matter how strong the road is. That's because Lagos is to small for over 12 million people, Over population keeps stretching Lagos resources beyond normal 1 Like |

hamid6249:overpopulation man. Lagos is the smallest state in Nigeria but with almost highest population, prolly little behind Kano et all. So it will continue to be like that. FG is trying to push people to Ibadan with that rail, port and now the airport is fully functioning, the population will reduce a little. Ibadan can contain all of them buh them no wan go because everyone wan famz "i be Lagosian." 1 Like |

SO THAT THEY COULD GET KIDNAPPED? quote author=AryaSand post=80915118]The traffic they cause everyday all In the name of fixing potholes alone. On thursday, I was stuck on Lateef Jakande Road for more than an hour. LTV to Omole was on a standstill. I wonder why they can't fix it in the midnight though, between the hours of 1-3am.
|

PrecisionFx: Even if it's 20 years or better still they begin to build concrete roads. At least that way we save more money over time. |

Kapeter:That's not how to move people to other states. People mostly migrate due to economic oppportunity, so unless there are jobs in ibadan, folks will rather remain in Lagos to hustle. It will probably get worse when the refinery in Lekki becomes funtional. FG and other states really need to wake up, cos apart from 3-4 states that are economically relevant, the rest are just civil service states. 1 Like |

Kapeter: dejibanjo: Folks do not need to go all the way to Ibadan... Ogun State is already the “New Jersey” to Lagos’ “New York”. The reality is that many parts of Ogun State have effectively become ‘suburbs’ of a huge sprawling Lagos Megapolis, and many folks who work or otherwise do business in Lagos but seek cheaper housing or land have elected to reside in Ogun State. This has been particularly given a boost with the network of 21 border roads and bridges completed in the border areas of Alimosho under Amobode, as well as the ongoing project to add a BRT lane to the Lagos-Abeokuta Expressway all the way to Ota Toll Gate. Accordingly, many Lagos-based manufacturers have relocated or built new factories in Ogun State (Agbara and Ota especially) while maintaining their corporate offices in Lagos. PS: In respect of the new Dangote Refinery, one would think that the new multi-tiered Alaro City being developed in Ibeju under a PPP arrangement with Rendeavor, which is reputedly Africa’s biggest new city developer, will absorb most of the new population of the LFTZ. > |

The truth is always bitter just accept the fact the city is dangerous ,I'm currently serving in lagos but the experience is nothing to write home about ..I've witnessed countless day light phone robberies in fact in front of police ,those idiots were just smiling shouting stupid welcome to lagos.welcome to lagos my foot .for those shouting you can leave lagos up and down ,I know lagos is like a mini New York to you enjoy it while you continue to struggle and smiling...mind you I was born and brought up in oyo state though I don't claim it cuz of my personal reason but I can tell you Ibadan is far more peaceful and conducive than you over hyped slum ( 9jaRealist:[qu sweetsell:ote author=13october post=80917883] You are part of overpopulation pls go to your state
|
