THE TRAITORS OF CHRISTIANITY talks about the so-called Christians who have tarnished the image of Christianity and Christian values through their words and actions. They can also be referred to as the people who have given Christianity a bad name even though they call themselves Christians.

The dictionary defines the word ‘Traitor’ as a person who betrays someone or something, such as a friend, cause, or principle.

In this case, the traitor betrays what Christianity really stands for and consequently what Jesus Christ himself stands for.

So, who are these traitors of Christianity? This article will explain who they are:

FORMER CHOIR MEMBERS WHO NOW SING TRASHY SONGS

In many Christian homes, especially in countries where religion is taken seriously, you will find out that there are people who are in the choir. Either male or female, they serve in once capacity or the other in the choir. They are either part of the choristers or the instrumentalists. They sing to praise and airship God.

Now, consider all the people who are into hip-hop music and check out their backgrounds. You will realize that they were once in the choir, either as kids or as adults. Now, they sing songs that do not glorify God in any way.

These people are now responsible for encouraging people to leave the paths of Christ. Are they not betraying Christianity? It is even more damning when you realize that Lucifer, who is also known as Satan the Devil was known as a Chorister before he turned against God.

As Christians, we all know that you either go with God or you go with Satan. If you are not singing for God, you are definitely doing it for the devil. It is that simple.

Of course there are those who were once in the choir who now sing sensible songs. However, as followers of Christ, they are expected to sing songs that glorify God and bring more people to Christ, preaching the gospel.

These people travel to campuses and even hold concerts which draw a lot of people who are not there to listen to the word of God but to dance to trashy songs, party, smoke, drink and engage in a lot of amoral activities.

Another terrible part is that these same people get a lot of awards for their corrupt songs as other so-called Christians vote for them. Satan the Devil must be smirking wherever he is. Christians have denigrated the religion and turned it upside down. Goodness! What Jehovah God must think about us right now.

CHRISTIANS WHO DON’T GO TO CHURCH

This is another set of people who are traitors of Christianity. They give many excuses of not going to church.

Most of the common excuses include:

My church is demanding too much money;
The church is too far;
My church members don’t ask after my wellbeing;
The church is corrupt’
Whenever you see all these weird excuses, you realize that the people saying them are deceiving themselves.

If your church is demanding too much money, why can’t you find another godly church? Find a closer church is your church is too far. If your church members don’t ask after your wellbeing, why not complain to them about it? Why not find a better church if your church is corrupt?

These same people will be eager to go to parties, no matter how corrupt the parties are. They will not hesitate to go to a very far place for entertainment purposes.

How are these people supposed to preach the gospel if they do not act like Christians? They are traitors of Christianity.

CHRISTIANS WHO DO NOT USE THEIR CHARACTER TO PREACH

The character is one of the ways of preaching the gospel. Unfortunately, most so-called Christians do not have the characters that depict them as true followers of Christ. Some Christians behave like the Devil incarnate.

These are people who love fighting, who do not forgive easily or who love causing trouble wherever they go. All these are not the attributes of Jesus Christ and as such they can be referred to as the traitors of Christianity.

As followers of Christ, we should strive to use our characters to preach the gospel.

Christians shouldn’t scam other people. They shouldn’t be cruel to others. Christians shouldn’t engage in fights with other people. They are supposed to show love.

CHRISTIANS WHO DO NOT USE THE SOCIAL MEDIA TO PREACH THE GOSPEL

Thank God for the social media. The medium has helped a lot of people to spread the gospel of Christ to everyone in the world. It is also a tool for Christians to preach the gospel. Unfortunately, a lot of Christians would rather upload their own pictures on their media sites.

You would never see these so-called Christians post anything about the bible or preach about anything on their social media platforms. This is even after the numerous followers they have on those platforms.

They know that posting about Christ or the gospel will not generate likes online so they shun it entirely. It is like they are ashamed of Jesus Christ. The same Jesus Christ who died and sacrificed himself for their sins.

However, when it comes to reposting about jokes or other irrelevant things that cannot change anyone’s lives positively in any way, they are experts. They are traitors of Christianity.

PASTORS WHO ARE MISBEHAVING

This is baffling. Pastors are supposed to be the representative of Jesus Christ on earth. They are supposed to be the epitome of Christianity. Unfortunately, a lot of them are misbehaving. They have brought bad and terrible repute to the word ‘Pastor’.

Imagine pastors engaging in scamming, fraud, kidnapping, rape, even armed robbery. They engage in fornication and adultery, and so many other vices. All they preach about is prosperity and they are not really interested in the spiritual development of their congregation members.

You then wonder how these pastors will be able to convince anyone to come to Jesus. They have turned Christianity into a laughing stock by their actions.

CHRISTIAN PARENTS WHO DO NOT BRING UP THEIR KIDS IN THE WAY OF THE LORD

The development and advancement of any society begins with the home. It is the responsibility of parents to train their children or wards to become upstanding citizens. If they are Christians, it is the responsibility of parents to bring them up in the way of the Lord.

Most Christian parents don’t bother to do bible study with their kids. Many do not even care about the spirituality of their kids. The kids then grow up not taking Christianity seriously. In the end, they lose their values and morality.

COMEDIANS WHO MAKE JOKES THAT MOCK JESUS CHRIST AND CHRISTIANITY IN GENERAL

There are many ‘Christian’ comedians who actually make jokes about Jesus Christ, the bible, and Christianity in general. They call themselves but their words and actions make other people ridicule and laugh at Christianity.

THOSE WHO COUNTER THE COMMANDMENTS IN THE BIBLE TO FURTHER THEIR OWN GAINS

All lot of commandments have been given in the bible for Christians to live by. However, a lot of people often counter some of these commandments whenever the commandments do not favor them.

All the people in these categories are traitors of Christianity and therefore they have similarity to Judas Iscariot who betrayed Jesus Christ.

As Christians, it is our duty to always do our very best to represent Jesus Christ and propagate the gospel. We are ambassadors of Christ and as such, we should always represent Jesus and Jehovah God.

Being a traitor is not a good appellation. If you call yourself a Christian, then christianity is your identity. Embrace it.

With these points, every christian including u are traitorz because in one way or the other we are all guilty.

There is this guy called Japp, he has been doing music for about 19yrs, he shared his story with me, I had to review cache of his songs to believe him. He started as a group but others left to start singing secular songs. I'm waiting for the right time to shared his story but the key point is "there is too much division in the Christiandom because of denomination", Christians are the most fearful person on earth, even before they help,they will think about several negatives.
