You need a transit visa to transit through the USA, or if you have a valid visitors visa then you dont have an issue. There are dozens of flights that dont transit through USA. Check well

I think it depends on if there would be an airline change or not

No you dont, in Dublin, you are not coming out of the aircraft it's just refueling.
At times they add passengers too if the bookload isn't full from Addis Ababa.

Airline change or not, once your flight is touching down in USA, you must have q transit visa or else you won't be allowed to even board from Nigeria. Nobody wants to loose his/her job

Did you make any payment to the school that will warrant you to request for a refund? If no, then you owe the school nothing bro. Even after payment, you have the right to walk away and request for your refund. But ensure you enrol into another school and notify CIC so it doesn't affect you when you want to apply for your PGWP (post graduate work permit)
BHA1234:

Thank you boss.

That was my thought initially (and I think according to CIC portal), but two different guys I confided in said, I'd have to visit school A and request a termination or withdrawal of admission before proceeding to school B and most times the school will require me to spend a semester before transferring.

Please is this something you've done before, or do you know anyone who has done it ?

I just want to be 100% sure it's sane to ghost school A, change school through MyCIC portal and proceed to school B without repercussions (like when trying to get study Permit extension or trying to get PR).

Thank you.

I've not seen a booking that combines Ethiopian airline and westjet from outside Canada. Its just within Canada that Ethiopian airline switch carrier to either westjet or aircanada.
I stand to be corrected.

Login into your MyCIC Account, Check Account Profile, you will see the details of the monthly update.
I know but you said it’s not looking good on his application and I’m wondering what that has got to do with anything?
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 16 by BaaleOfOntario: 10:02pm On Aug 04, 2019
He probably meant Lufthansa airline. Lufthansa often change airline. I.e Lagos to Frankfurt is Lufthansa, while Frankfurt to Toronto is AirCanada. Ethiopian airline does not airline.

Literally, a offer or acceptance letter reference same meaning especially in Canadian SP but could yet be slightly different depending on the institution. However, there is no harm applying with either.

How will this government scholarship funds be made available to you? Does it cover you full educational and LE expenses? Has this type of government scholarship programme/initiative been in existence? What branch/body of government is issuing this scholarship?

You just need to answer these questions within you.

My advise:

Endeavour to include a proof of funds and other supporting documents for source of funds.

Good luck!

Thank you.

Sorry about your refusal, what I can depict from ur GCMS note is that the VO had a problem with ur SOP, it was poorly written(prolly spelling problem, erors in puntuation e.t.c) cos u failed to convince the VO through ur write up that you are a genuine student that would return back to ur hoem country after study.. Also you need to work on ur Finances, the money you had in ur SOA didnt go well with the VO, for the VO to have stated all those reasons shows you can't be financiallly stable when u get to canada.. So the solution now is for you to re-write your SOP constructively and convincingly and also work on ur Finances, both for urself and ur sponsor.. Peace

Thank you so much. Sponsor had about 20M in his account. Does the applicant’s SOA matter too?

It's a normal monthly routine and doesn't add up. The applicant should be more concerned about the eligibility review and background check.

Hello,

After a careful review of your profile.... I sense that your prime reason for a visa refusal was primarily based on your purpose of Visit and home ties to Nigeria. How did you explain the lucrativeness of the program in Nigeria and the demand for professionals in the field of broadcast journalism?. More importantly, work on your ties back home that will motivate your return home, e.g your parents who constantly needs your care and support, your immediate siblings who are looking upto in the family, your parents landed properties which you're traditionally heir to and must return to make lucrative use of it and develop your own company (if need be). Once you're done with the letters, do send it to any of the knowledgeable individuals here to help vet them and make possible adjustments were applicable.

With regards to the bolded your uncle being your co-sponsor, you can certainly use him in your next reapplication. However your ties in nigeria must be well demonstrated and should supersede that of Canada. Include relevant documents to evidence proof of relationship like passport bio data page, birth certificates, and a family tree illustrating how your paternal uncle (sponsor) is related to your dad.

Hello Mr frank pls can I send u an email so u can help proof read my sop
Thanks

Tnx for ur response, the first yr sch fees will be paid in full in December. The company statement nd financial books looks gud too. He spends more for personal use frm his company acct, so I think dats why his personal acct isn't well funded. Den d fix deposit is in his name nd it's a personal savings were interest come in.

Then good, just work tirelessly and constructively on your SOP, and endeavour to show relevant documents that can properly address your application.

Good luck!
