You said a lot of confusing comments.

Let me give you an analogy.

If buy N3000 MTN recharge card and decided not to load it, i advertised it to you and you agreed to pay me 2k for it. I scratch it, snapped and send to you via WhatsApp. You loaded it and it was successful, moments later MTN blocks your line. You asked me for the source and receipt of purchase of the card, i once again snapped the receipt and sent to you.

Will you pay me my 2k or not?

Do you think i will ask for agreement if it doesn't load or any other thing.

Besides, i sold the same cards to you before and we never had issues.

This thing is straight forward, Sinebaba needs to pay up or beg the op for some consideration.

Dont be naive. This is not mtn recharge card. No popular business person on this forum will load a card and refuse to pay. Something is not right about those cards. And if this is encouraged it would become more rampant. How would you feel if whenever you wanna purchase any of those cards your chances of having your account blocked is 50% because we are all in support of as long as you have loaded the cards you must pay irrespective of how the cards was gotten.

This matter should be handled with wisdom. It's not as straightforward as many people here think.

Did you read the opening post or started following from page 4? Dont you know what an analogy is?

Sinebaba asked where the cards came from and the receipt was displayed right from page 1. Sinebaba has probably contacted ebay with that receipt and was probably told something which he refused to disclose. Instead he came back asking the op to contact eBay to hear what they will tell him. I am 99% sure Sinebaba knows exactly what is wrong but won't say since it will not favour his case. He knows, ebay would not give info on his account to a 3rd party Sinebaba is just playing pranks by asking op to go to ebay.

Another Nairalander confirmed the store where the card was gotten from.

Op has been very clean with all details of the transaction but sinebaba has been eluding the truth.

My guess is that there is probably a limit to gift cards and sinebaba exceeded his limits leading to the blocked acc. If sinebaba doesn't want people like us to speculate or cast aspersions, he should come clean with eBay's replies to him.

Lastly, if you have wisdom like you claim, ponder on thiss; sinebaba didn't load just load 1 card, what made him load the 2nd card if the 1st one bounced or caused the acct to be blocked? If the 1st card was legit and successfully loaded, why would the following card or cards be the reason the acct was blocked?

Modified
I just checked eBay has a limit of $1500 per month and $1000 per day. The golden question is, did sinebaba exceed this limit or not? Can he share his account history with op?

Immature you say.

Check this out, i just found out that ebay has a limit of $1.5k monthly and $1k daily.

Sinebaba bought $1.7k worth of cards loaded 6 x $200 cards straight making $1200 which is above the daily limit. If he was able to load all the $1.7k even in 2 days, thats above the monthly limit.

Now where is my assumption dumbass?

Sinebaba f.ucked himself up and needs to pay.

I had the position that Sinebaba needs to beg the op for some leniency but now i feel sinebaba should be made to pay in full.

How did you find out?
Did it even cross your profane brain that this might not be the first time sinebaba had loaded such amount. Silly boy.

Why should they sanction him? Anything GC is not legal. So you don’t call someone a scammer in such transaction

Foolbuster, start busting the fool outta urself, maybe i will take you serious.

A low life like you cannot even think straight than to know when a wrong is done.

Sinebaba was too greedy that he has lost over 400k but will want to pass off the loss to Dc4life. Sinebaba not only broke the limit, he smashed it into pieces. He exceeded daily limit, monthly limit and the max of 8 cards by loading 11cards. Ignorance is not an excuse

Seun needs to come down hard on fraud stars cos i am beginning to feel like he is feeding fat on the fraud going on on Nairaland.

Seun, you either put a disclaimer or do the needful.

I'd suggest that Transactions on GC be BANNED!! Since it's not Legal... and both the buyers and sellers be Removed from this platform.

If OP doesn't get his money back, then Just BAN the whole thing.
Everything is messed up already. undecided

what that guy said is clear and understandable enough.i don't why sinebaba is not talking again.can it be because of guilt??

Since the case is just dragging on and on, if the o.p doesn't mind, maybe he should involve the law enforcement agents.i hate fraud of any nature.i don't know why people hate transparency.

I pity you scammers. You sell hacked funds and still expect maximum profit. The saintulot u mentioned his name is unreasonable. I carried out transaction of more than $8k with him. He had access to my account and loaded cards for me even at night and I paid him in the morning. They locked 3 accounts and I took it as my loss. When the locked the 4th account, I was supposed to pay him N25k I was owing him from the card he loaded for me in the night. This is someone that saw what happened and still insisted I paid him the 25k. Unreasonable people like you and Tabbaz took sides with him and I refused to pay the money . I don’t care if my name is on the Useless scammers list composed by a confused Tabbaz who I have lost regard for. Keep quoting him. I still have more reputation than you. I have done transactions worth millions of naira since then. So f off. I see you are idle

@sirlop you are still owning me 68k till date and not 25k as you quoted above, you refused to pay up despite all the frantic effort made to make you pay.

1. Gift cards are not illegal. The rule is still that people are presumed innocent and in the absence of proof (not insinuations), the fellow who sold the cards is deemed the legitimate owner.

2. Nairaland has not prohibited gift card trading.

3. The buyer of the gift cards is a habitual buyer. You know what they say about coming to equity with clean hands.

4. From the regulations that have been posted and the buyer's inability to show anything clearly linking the source of the cards to the supposed banning of his account, it's clear that his own actions caused the supposed account closure.

5. He should pay up. Period.

Both the Op and sinebaba are scammers.
How did the op get all that gift cards in the first place?
They go online to defraud innocent foreigners of their hard earned money and then come here to be ranting on something that isn’t originally theirs.

Op cannot involve the police because he got the gift cards through illegal means and sinebaba is aware of this, so he is taking advantage of it.

To hell with you scammers...

If that is the case...... He sold the cards same way he bought them cool
