First all, the story around Joseph and Mary is irrelevant in Islam whether it is true or not. That's not what God wanted to work on. God's mission was to send messanger(Jesus) to the children of Israel to guide them to the truth.

As you can see from the verses of Qur'an you quoted, John and Jesus identity are very clear. But look into Bible verse you quoted. It is one of the many confusions in christiandome.

Example:


For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord.


Look at this Bible passage very well. It calls Jesus Savior with capital S. It goes further to call Jesus Lord with capital L. These are the reasons CHRISTIANs can not truly figure out identity of Jesus. A verse like this is quoted by Christians as evidence of Divinity (God) of Jesus. So confusion sets in for them. Let me give you second assignment.

Kindly show this verse and ask as many different CHRISTIANs a you possibly can what the verse means. I can guarantee you that some will use this verse as evidence that Jesus is God and Son of God. And some CHRISTIANs will also disagree. If that happens do you still think true desciples of Jesus wrote Bible?. This is your assignment. God is not author of confusion

This messages, book,injeel,scripturres was preached to Israelites. The disciples of Jesus heard it and recorded SOME OF THE WORDS.Jesus talk as an infant and died at 33.he lived among thousands of people,healed and taught them the truth of injeel(scriptures).risen from dead and he is coming again.He is the word of God and the spirit of God.

And Allah now send somebody (Mohammed)peace be upon him 600 years after Jesus have preached injeel(scripture of Allah) to the world. With a different teaching and corrections of what happened before his birth even correcting the stories and words of his ancestors (for Allah gave it to him).

No, Jesus did not preach "the Gospel of Matthew or Mark or Luke or John", since they are autobiographical, written after he died. In Luke, we specifically read "they were handed down to us by those who from the first were eyewitnesses and servants of the word".

Some make a similar erroneous claim that Moses wrote Genesis - Deuteronomy, when the latter describes him dying. It a thing those who used words must be aware of, and that's a beauty of the book. It allows those who see to separate wheat from chaff and think better and write effectively.

Scripture (Books!) is good writing. Allowing them to transform the mind is what is meant by "There is God". As to Prophets? Thousands, unless you prefer malnutrition!

The only relevance story that concerns us is from Bible passage from Luke 2 vs 8. U noticed there are similarities with Quran but different wordings.

**The stories I read in Quran about the prophets(thousands years before prophet Mohammad) e.g Noah,John,Zacharias, Mary,Jesus ,Abraham etc are far DIFFERENT compared to the ones in the Bible.

Example: the birth of JOHN

قَالَ رَبِّ اجْعَل لِّىٓ ءَايَةً  ۚ قَالَ ءَايَتُكَ أَلَّا تُكَلِّمَ النَّاسَ ثَلٰثَ لَيَالٍ سَوِيًّا
"[Zechariah] said, My Lord, make for me a sign. He said, Your sign is that you will not speak to the people for three nights, [being] sound."
Maryam 19: 10

"And, behold, thou shalt be dumb, and not able to speak, until the day that these things shall be performed, because thou believest not my words, which shall be fulfilled in their season." Luke1:20

*The birth of Jesus*

MARYAM 19:22-30

فَحَمَلَتْهُ فَانْتَبَذَتْ بِهِۦ مَكَانًا قَصِيًّا
"So she conceived him, and she withdrew with him to a remote place.

فَأَجَآءَهَا الْمَخَاضُ إِلٰى جِذْعِ النَّخْلَةِ قَالَتْ يٰلَيْتَنِى مِتُّ قَبْلَ هٰذَا وَكُنْتُ نَسْيًا مَّنْسِيًّا
"And the pains of childbirth drove her to the trunk of a palm tree. She said, Oh, I wish I had died before this and was in oblivion, forgotten.
"But he called her from below her, Do not grieve; your Lord has provided beneath you a stream.
"And shake toward you the trunk of the palm tree; it will drop upon you ripe, fresh dates.
"So eat and drink and be contented. And if you see from among humanity anyone, say, 'Indeed, I have vowed to the Most Merciful abstention, so I will not speak today to [any] man.
"Then she brought him to her people, carrying him. They said, O Mary, you have certainly done a thing unprecedented.
"O sister of Aaron, your father was not a man of evil, nor was your mother unchaste.
"So she pointed to him. They said, How can we speak to one who is in the cradle a child?
"[Jesus] said, Indeed, I am the servant of Allah. He has given me the Scripture and made me a prophet."

LUKE 2:1-18

And it came to pass in those days, that there went out a decree from Cæsar Augustus, that all the world should be taxed. ( And this taxing was first made when Cyrenius was governor of Syria.) And all went to be taxed, every one into his own city. And Joseph also went up from Galilee, out of the city of Nazareth, into Judaea, unto the city of David, which is called Bethlehem; (because he was of the house and lineage of Davidsmiley To be taxed with Mary his espoused wife, being great with child. For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord. And this shall be a sign unto you; Ye shall find the babe wrapped in swaddling clothes, lying in a manger. And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God, and saying, Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men. And it came to pass, as the angels were gone away from them into heaven, the shepherds said one to another, Let us now go even unto Bethlehem, and see this thing which is come to pass, which the Lord hath made known unto us.And they came with haste, and found Mary, and Joseph, and the babe lying in a manger. And when they had seen it , they made known abroad the saying which was told them concerning this child.

This are some of the few example of the stories I read in Bible and Qur'an about the birth of Jesus and John

My questions is this;which of these stories are true the one in Quran or Bible? Am so confused.
