Ondo state government, through the Governing Council Chairman, Rufus Giwa Polytechnic, Owo, Mr Banji Alabi, just terminated the appointment of all members of staff of Rufus Giwa Polytechnic Staff Primary and Secondary School.

According to Mr Alabi, government can no longer fund the school and wants to “sell it”, so the services of all members of staff are no longer needed.

Please be careful Governor.

Its funny how Nigerian government leader's just render thousands useless, homeless and jobless without prior notice, yet still assign millions, billions in security vote, bogus allowances, travel expenses and salaries for themselves and an unending number of personal assistants, first lady office, political appointees and white elephant projects like "the dome" in Akure.

Its painful to see people suffer not because of ignorance, but because they are afraid and prefer to beg and worship people they put there, while hoping and waiting for their own chance to get to a position where they can loot, steal and corrupt themselves at the slightest opportunity.

The so called leaders are quick to slam the death penalty on Kidnapping, while the corrupt leaders, the looters, thieves, "barawo", murders, the real kidnappers of peoples destiny are treated with kids gloves.

Our leaders in 9ja are so dump, they dont think.

You can privatise the school gradually na without having to sack anybody and destroy their homes. I am sure many of the poly lecturers will want to have shares in the schools.

Govt jobs that use to be very secured is no more secured. Anyone trusting any nurgatory government for his or her financial future will have themselves to blame. The age we are in now is an age where every one should personally be accountable for his or her financial future not one man, or one govt that can change some one's destiny by the use of paper and pen
