They were not asking for this before... According to people who used them before but fraudulent moves by some Nigerians caused it. Some eca bodies don't evaluate degrees from a major federal university in Nigeria because people were paying to get the degree and transcript even when they were never students. WES being the only body that does verification after receiving the documents still does evaluation for that school and hence a need to further verify high school authenticity, WAEC itself must send a confirmation. I agree its not a sweet ride mentally and financially but I would say WAEC should up its game and speed of processing.
There are other special documents features in some other countries too. Our own is WAEC.

My thoughts stand to be corrected please. Not a WAEC or WES advocate.

Please, make some research before presenting some information.
WES is not the only organization that conduct ECA for Nigerian candidates. Out of the 5 ECA evaluators nominated by IRCC, only 2 (WES and ICES) request for WAEC results.

I know most Nigerians are fraudulent and that WES wasn't requesting for secondary school results to evaluate University qualifications. But, secondary school results are not a requirement for candidates with university degrees. So, it ridiculous for WES to ask Nigerian candidates to mail a stamped photocopy of WAEC/NECO certificate and also e-pin.

P.S It is only ICES that stopped evaluating degrees from UNIPORT.

I mistakenly selected NECO instead of WAEC In my Wes profile . The problem now is that waec will be sent to Wes Instead of the NECO I wrongly indicated. How can this issue be resolved?
Secondly can I fax my waec certificate and scratch card to Wes, will it be accepted?

But am having date of birth issue, my date of birth should be June 3rd 1993 but on the waec certificate it’s May 25th, 1993.

And have applied for change of birth from waec office but I was told it’s going to take 6-8month

Sorry for being quoted, I have a brother that is planning to send his waec result to Canada through Wes, but has no clue on completing a wes application to get a reference number. My question is, does Wes request for money during application?

before you split be aware that.....even if one person's own has been processed and handed to the courier service, it will be delayed till the other person's is ready.

be sure the other person's year of exams is part of those online and not record book type...these take longer.

Well, i don't blame them that much, it is the situation that our leaders has led into, what else do you expect?,,,I know some people will ask me how?
Do you remember the story of of the Former general that became the president of the country, and how he later got his result from WAEC delivered to his office by the oga kpata kpata of WAEC.
recently, there was a new that a serving senator was sacked by the court of law in this country,because all his credentials were fake.
there was also another controversy about the WAEC result of a certain dancing senator.
In one of the south south state, the daughter of a certain legislator has been working for the a multinational company in Nigeria for several years until she was discovered recently to be using credentials of a school that did not even exist in the UK.
A certain minister was discovered to be using fake NYSC certificate, after serving 8 years as commissioner and almost 4 years as Minister.
I nor mention anybody name oh!
The list is Endless.................. How many we fit talk, not to talk of the people that are not in power

We can not blame WES and Nigeria is not alone, India is Another country with same condition

Does WAEC private candidate (GCE) needs police report and Local Govt identification for verification.

Secondly must I take along my original certificate or photocopy will do?.

So I was able to do my WAEC verification today alongside 4 friends. The queue today wasn't funny at all. My house is just a stone throw from Waec office so for those that are too busy or outside Lagos, you can reach out to me. Going to help some people next week Thursday. 0.8.0.6.0.5.3.6.6.2.6

2days!!! How possible was that...mine is still pending for 3weeks now. Wes has evaluated my degree transcript still waiting for waec to send to Wes so my evaluation could be completed......is anyone experiencing same delay from waec too Lets share our experiences

Please, I tried sending my statement of result to WES through fax but it seems like it wasn't accepted. Has anybody had a similar issue and how should I go about it... Please I need a response urgently thanks

YES YOU CAN, i sent statement of result for my MSC, and it worked.
Be it Statement or certificate, they are going to send it back to your school to verify, it doesn't really matter.. What matter is that it was originally issued to by your school. so it can be verified any time.

Hi Thelma, I understand it can be really useful to send documents together in order to save costs. However, you should only send related documents in a single package/parcel. For instance, it is okay to send your WAEC scratch card to WES together with your WAEC confirmation of results as these are clearly related -- This is what practically everyone has done so far, including myself. However, you shouldn't send your degree certificate together with your WAEC parcel as these are unrelated and may raise a flag with WES.

I would suggest you do the following -- if you use an iOS device, try to download an app called iFax from the Apple app store. Next, have your certificate scanned to PDF in the exact way you want WES to receive it. You can then send your PDF certificate as a FAX message to WES (WES Fax No: +1 416 972 9004). This was how I sent mine and it was accepted.

Hope this helps.

P.S. -- It took approximately two business days for WES to acknowledge the receipt of my faxed degree certificate. Also, with the iFax app, you can either use a paid subscription or take advantage of the 7-day free trial. Kindly let me know if you need any other info.

I send them Via courier(Nipost registered mail) including other documents,cos i am i evaluating 3 results all together. i also send the WAEC/NECO,, scratchcard form, with a copy of my WAEC result,,
It cost 4100 Naira, they told me it was going to be delivered in 3 weeks(21 days) but it actually delivered in 35 days(5 weeks),, for me it was not a problem, because, one of my transcript from Uniben was not ready until after 2 months.
So if you are not in a hurry and you want to cut cost, you can use it, because the normally scale the document, so the price will depend the weight of your parcel.( just to mention, i sent from Benin city)
(Note don't just buy stamp, ask for your mail to be registered and you will be given a tracking number)
