OGS as a club legend has a lot of love from the fans which he should have used as leverage. Fans are already asking for Ed’s head, why can’t he use the opportunity to make demands?

Weeks ago i said that United should sell Lukaku for 50 to 60 million to get the needed players on time but i was taken up here. When you do business based on ego you hurt yourself, Only Inter milan was seriously after Lukaku and the coach considered him surplus to requirement so taking 60mil is good, maybe 50 is too low.

The only painful part is that the funds should have been spent on Fernandez or a RW who score goals.

Inter offered £54m or so on their first bid.... now they're offering £70m with add-ons. United values Lukaku at £79m.

So selling for £50m or £60m is very very bad business.

And the rumors about Bruno were actually exaggerated by Portuguese papers, only Spurs had any real meeting with Sporting.
Club would have gotten Dybala but the boy doesn't want to leave Juve, he's currently having same contract issues with Spurs and they're most likely ditching him for Lo Celso.

I would have preferred Bruno though, because a strong midfield and defense can revive the attack.

Last season, apart from the fact that we concede bucket loads of goals (which hopefully has been fixed by Maguire and AWB), we struggle to score goals and our midfield always crumble whenever we come under any small pressure.

Now we have lost Herrera and Lukaku is gone almost which basically means we are even worse off than we were last season in midfield and attacking wise.

We were even outplayed by Ac Milan during the last match.

We have not made any improvement in the midfield or attacking areas, infact we are even worse than we were at the beginning of last season.

We need quality players in that midfield and a reliable striker. No matter how good your tactics is, you still need quality players to execute your tactics. We were castigating these set of players last season, I ask you what changed?

A club of Uniteds Pedigree,having such long list of average players shouldn't have spent less than £200 million in this window on solid replacements. Furthermore ,whoever is doing the signing is clueless. Was it not thesame Maguire offered for 70 million last season that we ended up buying for 80 million this season?
