Towards the end of last season, I was querying OGS tactics which I have refrained from doing because I could see obvious improvement in the way the team set up which is why I’m angry we are not getting quality players in to help the manager. Yes, I called OGS a Yes man because I don’t believe he’s happy with the squad he has so he should quit pretending to be happy when he’s not. There’s nothing wrong in saying “we want to improve in so so area and we are looking to bring in more quality additions to the team”. It’s not necessary he goes the Mou way.

Okay. As a fan you have every right to demand improvements especially as it is very glaring that your team needs better players in some areas. I just think you maybe need to tone it down a little.
The manager watches those players in training so he may actually believe they can do a job for a while until better players are gotten. Besides, Ole never denied that you guys needs better players and he obviously has a list. But since he is not incharge of transfers and the players he needs have not been gotten, he will have to do with the players he has and it will not help your club in anyway if Ole says things that make some players feel useless and unwanted in press conferences, especially as there are no replacements for them yet.
From what i read here and on Reddit, no-one actually thinks the current crop of players you guys have are good enough, rather they believe in the ability of the manager to bring out the best in the players. Imagine all your players start feeling unwanted and acting like Lukaku, i am sure that will not be a pretty sight. Selling teams will rinse you guys even more because your desperation to get players will even be much more. Pretending to be satisfied doesn't necessarily mean he is a yes man, he might be pretending to be satisfied just so that the players can atleast feel needed and useful and this may bring out the best in them. I am sure the board knows what he wants. Ole has also said many times that he is looking to sign more players, i have seen this on Reddit many times. Also i read here one time that ole said he doesn't expect six players to come in at once because that is not how a rebuild works. Atleast look at the useless real madrid and fraudulent zidane and have hope. More players doesn't always translate to success.

I pity us, winter is almost here. Honestly, no improvement until we see what the manager, and the players have to offer in the next 4 weeks. Forget pre-season results, abeg, let's see what tactics OGS will employ against the likes of Wolves and Crystal palace in the coming weeks, and also whether the players will continue to play with intensity, and not burn out early.

Let's be honest, a 26yr old pro footballer who has been playing organized football since age 10 won't suddenly develop a good first touch. It is what it is.
Lukaku is likely to thrive in the slower Serie A where his mediocre first touch won't be such an issue, but no amount of work will significantly improve that first touch at this age.

Oh, definitely. I don't understand the move for Mandzukic. He was never a goal machine even in his prime and he has lost most of whatever little pace he had. He has decent link up play and is good in the air, but that is about it.

Ole is planning to play 4-2-3-1 next season. Rashford is the no 1 striker based on what we saw towards the end of last season. Martial and Sanchez can do a job as CF and both of them will most likely battle for the LW position. Remember that we have a promising and talented FW in Greenwood. Therefore an extremely fit, old but different FW like Mandzukic who is different from what we have is an excellent addition.

Our other transfers this seasons have been 21 years AWB, 21 years old Daniel James and Slabhead who is 26. My only problem is the lack of quality in the midfield. I hope McTominay can continue his impressive display in the upcoming season.

Considering OGS tactics using two attacking midfielders when on the offensive, Bruno should adapt easily and actually score goals in that setup. Don't understand why the club didn't bid for him all these while.
