mrphysics: Brother, a long stay Visa comes with Residence permit. You will pay 60euro within the first 3 months of your stay in France for Residence permit. It's called OFII. You can travel through the schengen zone with that Visa after you have been stamped for Residence permit with OFii. |
Re: Securing Visa To France, Applying From Nigeria... by mrphysics(m): 11:18am On Aug 08, 2019 |
Predstan:We were told by Campus France that the OFII is no longer applicable in France. |
Re: Securing Visa To France, Applying From Nigeria... by Predstan: 11:23am On Aug 08, 2019 |
mrphysics: No. The process before now is that you would have filled out the Offi form and submitted at vfs. But they cancelled it for student Visa, you have to apply for that when you get to France within the first three month of your stay. Hope you understand. See attached from my School

Predstan:You have really done your research. Nice one. @mrphysics, the OFII they are referring to is the former physical stamp on your passport which was the Residence Permit but it has now evolved to just online registration. All you need to do is register online, input your visa number and other details, pay the amount which will then validate your stay. Your D Visa Sticker is now the Residence Permit. |

Hey guys, I don't know if this is the right place to post given that most of the talk is based on student's visa. I'd appreciate any responses. I recently received an invitation from a client company in the Netherlands. The company made it clear in the letter that they would be responsible for my transport and accommodation to, in and from. The issue I have is been that hotel accommodation is a prerequisite, do I still need to show proof of accommodation? Also, how do I go about travel insurance? Do I get the insurance before I submit the application or when the visa is ready? Anyone with ideas, please help. |

jessyeve: Not really. For you to be 100% sure, you need to contact the school directly if your course required english test for admission. You can also contact Campus France. Campus France cud also guide you on admission criteria and visa application requirements. 1 Like |
