Language admission as in an admission to study Deutsch in Germany?

If I'm correct, I'll advice you to abort mission and get a proper admission. Or a conditional admission that admits you to an STK after you've learnt the language to some level, this doesn't come without some prior language (Deutsch) proficiency.

Language admission implies language visa, (not student visa) which is quite hard to obtain cos there's Goethe institute in Nigeria. Why travel the distance and spend much more when you'd still come back to apply for proper student visa which is the ultimate goal (this are the questions that requires answers).

Vielen grüße

I know of some Nigerians who have gotten study visa to attend a Studienkolleg so I am sure it could work for him, unless the rules have changed.

How were you able to book for Visa under category A even though you are going for Bachelors? I thought Bachelors are meant to go in Category B?
Re: General German Student Visa Enquiries Part 7 by pompido: 2:23pm On Aug 08, 2019
On today's episode of how students survive in Germany, here are a few points for you all... cheesy

A popular scholarship is the Deutschlandstipendium (w w w . deutschlandstipendium . de / index . ht ml) which is open to everyone ─ regardless of nationality or personal and parental income. Applications should typically be filed from your home country, but if you're already in Germany, you should apply within the first 15 months.

The first contact point should be the social office in the Studentenwerk or the academic international offices of the university if in ''financial distress''. The advisors there know who at each university helps international students in financial difficulty. The social office also provides information on financial help from the state which you might be able to apply for.

One-off financial support can be applied for from the catholic (KSG: w w w . f h o k . de / struk tur en / hochschulgemeinden-vor-ort / ) or the evangelical (ESG: google ESG + your city on google) student community of the universities. At some universities there are also private societies that support international students, so ask around.

Education Loan
The education loan programme (“Bildungskreditprogramm”), run by the German federal government, offers financial aid to students. Unlike the BAföG, the “Bildungskredit” is a loan with no grant elements. That means that you will have to repay the full amount at an interest rate of 0.75% (as of June 2017). The loan will be paid in monthly instalments with the maximum amount being 7,200 euros. If you live in Germany as a refugee, you are eligible to apply for the loan. Please note that this only makes sense if you are sure that you will have the financial means in the future to pay it back. Repayment starts no earlier than four years after you received your first monthly instalment.

STUBE is a body that helps students with integration and excellence in their academics with a focus on knowledge transfer to the developing countries (especially your country of origin). Their mainstay program is funding students back to either their countries or any african countries of their choice for a fully funded 6months internship or thesis completion. You can google Stube + your city to find which of their offices is responsible for applications.

You are allowed to get thesis funding from your university! Once you get your thesis topic approved, simply contact your international center about funding for your thesis and you will be informed about the process. Payout range from 200 to 450 euros for between 3 -6 months. The aim of this funding is so you can concentrate on completing the thesis satisfactorily.

Word of advice, start searching and applying for student jobs immediately after your visa interview, you may be lucky as some have been to have something waiting for you before you land. Being able to email in German without coming across as a novice might also help.

Additions are welcome.

Deustchemann and other elders in the house,

since I booked interview, no date yet, I even mailed my school on the possibility of an extension, this was their reply.
The latest possible arrival date for this year students intake would be 31 October, what do I do? Should I cancel and rebook?
If your school has this deadline of October 31, it means you need an interview date not later then 3rd week of September, which at this stage doesn't look feasible.

Write to your School about the possibility of enrolling by proxy. If you can send your documents to them, pay semester fee and they enrol you. If they agree to this proposition, then you can cancel and rebook with December start date. You can get a date in October and leave by November if all goes well.

If they do not accept, passionately request for deferral to summer semester. They should be able to oblige.

CruiseControl, this can also apply to you.

Hi, I have a couple of questions please and I apologize in advance if it has been answered in any of the threads.

1. Does the blocked account need to be funded before you go for your interview. Would the application be rejected if not
2. What information do you need from the bank you use for blocked account
3. Is it possible to submit your passport after your interview or you must submit it on the day of your interview
4. Can you please share possible interview questions
1. You can attend your interview without funding. If you've gone through people's transcripts here, many go without funding, and they were told to forward the funding confirmation ASAP. Some even get AM without funding, and they submit the confirmation alongside their passport before visa is issued.
2. Go to playstore and download Fintiba app. Register for a blocked account via fintiba basic. Fill in the required details and upload the required documents. Your account will be opened and you'll get the documents you need
3. You must take your passport to the interview. It will be returned to you after the interview, if you have it in Lagos.
4. Read through the thread from page 1. There are tens of interview transcripts for your consumption.
Please make sure you read. It's for your good.

Jah bless

I have issues filling my visa application form. Please I need clarification

1. No 9 on the form
I intend to stay no longer than twelve months in the Federal territory and apply for a visa that covers the whole duration of my stay. Do I have to tick or ignore because I am going to a 2 yrs master program which is more than 12 months

2. No 12
Intended duration of stay in Germany. My program starts in October, what should I input as from and to?

3. No 13
Do you have health insurance that covers the Federal Republic of Germany? If I thick No won't that affect the visa application?

PLEASE HELP!!!
1. Don't tick. Duration of your program is more than 12 months so no need to tick it
2. Your program is 2yrs. Duration will be October 2019- October 2021
3. No, you don't. It won't affect your application. When you get to Germany, you'll get one

Hello House....

Hello Deustchemann.... God bless you all!!!

Do you know that I just realised I made a terrible mistake from the beginning. I applied under category B instead of A!

Because based on Sureboii post and success, I should be in Category A even though am going for a second degree. I have a first class already and going for another degree which means I should be under category A. From what I saw on German embassy website, I thought its only those that have first class or second class upper AND GOING FOR MASTERS CAN APPLY UNDER A!

Please what can I do now?

Your guide will be highly appreciated.
Thanks in anticipation.
well it's hard for OND to get bsc admission in Germany but it doesn't mean it's not possible if U search season 6well a lady used it to port to Germany but she had many rejection before one enter I think her name is fustinachichi or something like that but if you want easy and straight forward way use 100level transcript from any university to port to Germany please don't forget IELTS /TOEFL
Hope this helps

It's stated clearly on the first page of this thread. You can't use OND to study in Germany (except maybe through the STK route) the
To study for BSc in Germany, you'll need either:
- a previous BSc
- HND
- 100 Level transcript
the bolded it's hard but not impossible

Hello Cruisecontrol, seems like you just joined nairaland so you missed out on the category debate that was going on here in May and June. Sorry about that. At this point my advise would be the same one that has been dropped for the past few days. Get enrollment extension from your school or try to see if you can enroll by proxy. That way you can cancel you current appointment booking and put a much later deadline (I think people are using December now, I'm not sure). With a later enrollment deadline in your new appointment booking, you're still likely to be assigned an interview date. Read the last 40 pages if you can, you'll find more information about what I'm talking about. Also, if you already have a first class Bsc, and you're going for 2nd Bsc, then I believe you may still qualify for Cat A, even with the new rules, but I'm not 100% sure.
