I don't know if anyone answered u yet but I think you should check your spam mail and even trash or deleted mails to see if u missed anything. if u didn't, rebook wirh a later date. Secondly I think there was a hitch in th way dates were given and some dates with jumped. Some people complained about it in June or so and rebooked.
Are u going for bsc or msc?

CruiseControl:
Hi Family,

I want to ask something. I got admission to my school on may 5th. I applied for Visa on may 10th. Till now, am yet to get appointment!

Resumption date for my school is October 1st and my school has already told me that latest I need to be in school is october 31st!

Why is it that those who just applied as recent as July are getting appointment dates? Even some who applied this August?

I thought they said Germany does things by procedure?

Why jumping MAY applicants and giving AD to those who applied later like June, July, August?

Or was my application mail forgotten in SPAM FOLDER?

Am just so confused!

Am being tempted to cancel but am hoping on God still. Masters in the house please help.

Since you have a better option think it through. Yes, it is very possible to get your AM and Visa in 5weeks if everything goes smoothly but N/B a slight delay during the process like, verifying travel history on your passport after AM(if u have any), holidays, lazy vo, how fast is the person handling your document at the foreign office, VP, etc can make you lose going this winter if the school decides not to extend further. You can always switch to your prefferd school or course after a semester or a year.
Please what do you mean by verifying travel history on passport? Do you mean they will write to countries you have been to, to verify you or what? What if you're now using a new passport and the visa is no longer on it?
Re: General German Student Visa Enquiries Part 7 by Fabcol(m): 7:50am On Aug 09, 2019
With such grade it would be very very difficult if not impossible to get. But I have seen weird things happen in this journey (nothing is impossible) so if u come accross any, try!

Re: General German Student Visa Enquiries Part 7 by Fabcol(m): 7:54am On Aug 09, 2019
I don't know how the verification is done but I know if you have a fake stamp on your passport be sure the visa application would be denied even after getting AM. It seem wiser to use a new password for application if u have such on your old passport

Lol it's not an African thing! It's a Nigerian thing.
Ghanaians and Cameroonians are tight as a G-string on a phat ass! Even in Germany the help each other.
But I understand your pain, just keep doing good. Our main rewards are in heaven

Let me also use this opportunity to discuss about something terrible I have noticed about Africans and most black people; We are Not serious and We may never get there as a people! Ask me why?

Why do Africans and black people hate each other so much and don't like sharing information? Why do we withhold vital information from each other all in a bid to "Make it alone"?

It's worth the try. But 2.7 is not even up-to the average in German grade. I advice u start saving for blocked account and apply normally for tuition free courses

Good morning
I applied for bsc in environmental technology and resources management in Ruhr Universität Bochum, but I was told to register for German language first since I don't have a language proficiency in German.
I registered and the said I was to pay 500 per level for the language course. The course takes 3months per level
I went to check on appointment dates at the German embassy and was told that appointment booking have closed for the year and I confirmed that on the website too.
But short term visa appointment is still very available,
I was planning on paying for 2 levels , A1 and A2 which will be 6months but since appointment have closed for long term,
I decided that I would pay for just A1 and apply for the short term of 3months and when I get there I will extend.

Please I need tips on the interview, likely questions that I might be asked

Hi all,

I'm ready to submit my BA confirmation, will it sent by post or email?

Also, will I receive any acknowledgement after sending?

Thank you

You won't get visa for language study because there is Goethe Institute in Lagos.

Best sent through mail to save cost.
You dont get an acknowledgement no matter which means you send it. Just make sure you label your mail subject appropriately, preferrably( BLOCKING CONFIRMATION - DEU/3....), write a short introductory body message, attach the blocking confirmation along with ur receipt for visa payment.

Uncle you might attract scammers since this is a public forum. It's advisable to use SL from only people you know/trust

Firstly, their is Goethe Lagos where you can learn German far cheaper (60k or so per level).. this is enough reason to deny your application
Secondly you booked the wrong category. Language course is supposed to be booked under long stay.. another reason to be denied.
Thirdly short stay isn't extendable.. that's why it's short stay
Their are alot of English taught courses in Germany, I wonder how you missed them.
If that's your dream course and school learn German here in Nigeria via Goethe to the required level and apply. Or search for English taught courses on daad.de for summer and apply

My fellow CU Alumni, welcome. Honestly, 2.76 is very high for study in Germany ( By the time you convert it to german grade). But anything is possible in this German waka. But you'll have to do a lot of work and research. No one can help you with this. Here are a few tips:
- If your goal is Msc, then go on daad.de and start searching for schools in your desired course. Look at their cgpa requirements, you may need to mail their course coordinators and ask questions. You may need to extend your search to Google and Wikipedia for more schools. Courses are limited for summer so you may only find schools that'll accept you during winter.
- With your low cgpa, it's advisable to go for a second Bsc. Here you don't have problem. You can even decide to switch fields if you want.
- Read through this thread and the pevious parts. There's a wealth of information to gain. I've seen people make silly mistakes just because they didn't read, let that not be your case.

So sit down and carefully weigh all your options. Then decide what you want to do.

I want to cancel and rebook with a later date but thinking of choosing Abuja instead of Lagos, please what do you advice before I do. All replies and assistance is greatly appreciated. How did you know about this verification process, was it from an insider as it is no where on thier site. I'm curious because we can't be spreading info we got on assumption.

If you have your enrollment extended then you can cancel and book with the new date. Abuja hardly handle's student visa so I don't see any advantage booking with that
