Acidosis:

Yam peel ke? No one adds or use yam peel for amala. Besides, I have never seen the white variant (as white as poundo)
Come and see it in Ibadan.

It depends on the processing. If you peel the Cassava and leave to dry in the Sun, the Amala will come out white.
Amala is made from yam, while Lafun is made from cassava. They will definitely come out different even when processed same way, since they are made from different tubers.

You are correct, the one with the peel is healthier. The peel is rich in fibre.

They don't use yam peel. Good Amala is pure yamThere is a type of amala (not considered amala) that they remove the little yam left from the yam peel, grind it, add to Lafun

I don't know what it is called (what type of amala it is), but I am very sure yam peel was used. If it is good or bad is relative. We all ate it and we are alive years later. smiley

So I did my ice cream finally kiss

Cococandy, I didn't use whipping cream on this one I posted.
Used light cream cos i want to lessen the fat content.
The only difference is that it's not sticky when whisking. Just in between.
Added yogurt

If there is no whipping cream, double cream will do the same thing.
If there is non of these ones, use evaporated milk.
Add small butter and whisk. Viola, ur base is formed kiss

Then add any thing u feel like

Did another one with small whipping cream( forgot to snap)

I prefer the one with light cream sha.
Without chocolate.
All these sugar u people are consuming
There is God o cheesy kiss

Made another one yesterday, used little condensed milk cos the whipping cream is sugary on its own, added cocoa powder.
I even added vanilla flavor to the first that I made, was tooo sugary that my teeth hurt, couldn't even finish it. Thank God I've sweet tooth family, they finished it for me

It is not really amala. It is called Kunube. Yam flour is called Elubo.

There are only two ways you get that kinda of amala. It is either with people who don't have much money, normally these people add it to Lafun. You also have people who don't know amala or buy amala in its powder form, it is diluted with actual yam amala.

However if you buy the dried yam itself from the market then grind it, there isn't any single yam peel in it.

Somebody is becoming an addict cheesy
Next time add Greek yogurt. No fat. Soured. It kinda neutralise that sugar effect
And u are right, will use less condensed milk. How do people drink that thing?

How to unwind after a really hard day.

[s]
take a bubble bath
Get a massage
Do some yoga
S*x
Go sit by the beach for a while
[/s]

Or just have this wonderful cocktail of caramel infused vodka with cran-orange juice on ice. #cooked in my kitchen
