It's really ironical that a young girl like Diane can show more emotional intelligence than the supposed adults that she'd be learning from. I don't want to sound like a sexist, I'm not one, but I think the average girl out there would've been vindictive like Khafi and end any relationship she had with Esther. But Diane proved the superior person by leaving him for Esther whilst still not harboring any grudges for Esther. She's wise.
