Suleiman Ukandu, ex-chairman of the Abia State Muslim Pilgrim Board, has advised political leaders in the South East geo-political zone to resuscitate their alliance with the Northerners ahead of future elections.

Ukandu who gave the admonition in an interview with journalists on Sunday, in Umuahia, Abia State capital, shortly after the Muslim prayer to mark the 2019 El-kabir, held in Umuahia township stadium, emphasized that the northerners had been the best Igbo allies since the independence of Nigeria, lamenting the shortchange of the people of South East region in the present democratic dispensation by a northerner(Buhari)”.

His words, “The Ohanaeze and other Igbo group are on point for calling for political realignment between the North and the South East zone. I associate myself only on that. Basically, it is important and imperative that the old political alliances between the North and Eastern region should be reinvigorated. Igbos had been alliance with them(North) right from the creation of the country.

From all the constitutional conferences, till later days, we(Ndigbo) had been in alliance with the north. And the northerners have been comfortable with us.

We have beenk in contact with the north right from the time in memory. They had been living with us. We have been seeing them as quite better people (Northerners) to associate with. We had been doing all our businesses with the north for quite sometime. And if every northerner who is sincere could in retrospect, they would know that, Igbos had been one of their best allies north have.

In fact, eastern region was a loyal ally of the north despite what they normally do to us. All the betrayal we are having in the alliance had not come from South east, the betrayal always come from them. We are loyal to them, but, they have refused to empower us when the need be. Still we don’t mind.

If many of us arguing and accusing one another online are part of the decision makings in this country, we stand a better chance to effect changes, whether it is disintegration, good governance, security & defence or restructuring.

Hhmmmm...listen to this

From all the constitutional conferences, till later days, we(Ndigbo) had been in alliance with the north. And the northerners have been comfortable with us.

....but on Jan 15th 1966, Ibo stabbed Northerners in the back and betrayed that close-knit friendship.

Balewa - assassinated by Ibo
Maimalari - assassinated by Ibo
Bello - assassinated by Ibo

The Ibo allies forcefully removed their Northern allies from power and at gun point sacked a Northern succession headed by Dipcharima. They installed an Iboman and called him Supreme.

Igbo politicians will always chose north over west....
Northern politician will always chose east over west....

What went wrong in 2015/2019... ... Religion... Islamic religion.

North has found that link...link that was not there with the west all this while...

North has been dealing with the east based on trust and strength...

TINUBU played the religious card...wit Buhari against Jonathan...and the north saw it as an opportunity for power...and grapes it...

Elrufia extended it... In his state..

Same elrufia card will be played in 2023.....

Note..
Not that the north has forgotten their relationship with the east..no.

The current administration is doing everything possible to promote this religious divide.. so as to retain power..
Fulani is Islamic grip on Nigeria...

FG.refusal to clamp their herdsmen despite all killing is a tactical approval of Islam...
Tinubu tactical approval to f.g disposition

2023:
Tinubu is banking on the same Islamic card to negotiate for president.
Traditionally power is meant to come south..but who will the north give in the south?
The only northern allies in the south as of today is Bola TINUBU....and they has rewarded him immensely as an ally.

Juicy position..good contract...wealth security.. taste of national power...

Tinubu is a powerful man... he's the Dan fodio of the west.. he won more hearts when he reposition ambode....if tinubu wanted ambode government...no GAG or whatever they're call would stop him..
It's all about the religious card.. glassed with stories of incompetence.

As it stands now..
Osibanjo can't rule Nigeria..that's the honest truth...the north won't go for him.." he doesn't have charisma".. that what the say in circles..if you know you know..

Fashola is not an option as some people always point... A tambuwal or kwankwaso elrufia can upset him at primaries ...even with tinubu backing..

TINUBU knows all this options..and the only option he has is a via directly for the seat of the president..

And he's going about it the right way....

Is for him to convince the north that they're not slaves to the yoruba's..." If you know you know you know" not just kids on internet spewing trash..cos dia votes and internet powers matters less..in Nigeria.

Ones he can pull that.... A difficult task...so difficult..that president of different international countries has been involve.....
Obasanjo..has been involve....some nitwits always insult baba..but they don't know baba...

Tinubu problem is that some young and very ambitious tusks from the north ain't taking others from him..
This humans are religious ziliots too..but moderate and bit liberal...
They can match wealth for wealth in whatever capacity with international support..
They see themselves as first class citizens and answerable to k ow one...
They're fulanis..
They don't fear Buhari and Buhari is not a threath to them...they've got it all...they even have Buhari the connections as president..and they don't beg..

If you know you know...
They're very discreet and will oppose anything tinubu ...or west.

They will rather prefer ..a northern with any southern vice...they don't care which of the south...east west south...just south..they will support..

Nigerian politics is a game of the north by the north..
The only time it ever came south was by Providence and that was Goodluck Jonathan presidency..but the south threw it away...
another was Chief Obasanjo 2nd term. Chief did so well...but if you know the north...you will understand that that nobody manipulate them when it comes to politics...you can only come " honestly to dialogue" in dia favor.

The southeast should forget about president for now ..and focus more on internal development of their region... Or maybe learn opposition..without Islam...and pray so hard that Providence can turn up luck.

The west played opposition for years before it took the ingenuity of an over ambitious man to get it right..having studied the country at every stage.

Someday....Nigeria will roar again..but till then..let's make naija great..

Bounty.
