I was actually very surprised by the reaction. It made me cringe hard.

Those words are common parlance where I reside. Even middle school kids know what the word Utopian and Dystopian mean.

And to think a writer of a futuristic book didn't know what those words meant. It's all good.

You shouldn't be surprised. You're based abroad where the level of education is high. How many lectures are centered on such concepts in Nigeria institutions? You'd be shocked that many graduates of linguistic or theater arts haven't heard the words in their lecture hall but from personal research or knowledge of movies/novels.

If Diane is a snake then your Seyi is a viper, serpent and black mamba rolled into one. The person that nominated one of his closest friends in the house, insults and curses housemates and their relatives both dead and alive, stashes away food and drinks meant for everyone. You support such a human being and you have the nerve to call another housemate a snake. If you're looking for snake, go and Google Seyi's pictures.

Does Diane owe Seyi any loyalty? Is it not part of the game to save and replace? Does that make one a snake? If Seyi had won the veto power, would that make him a snake as well? I don't know why you people expect other housemates to worship your favourites. She has not even done anything with the veto power, you're already sounding pained. FYI Diane is not close to Seyi, she owes him zero favours, if she puts him up tonight, fine and good. Go load your devices and VOTE, else get ready to recieve him at Oshodi BRT station. [/s]

WWE is scripted. Nobody actually beats anybody. The wrestlers are merely performers who act a script handed out to them by their producers.

It's funny how you guys take it so seriously.
Are we babies? Wrestling is fun scripted or not especially if you follow it behind the scenes

You seem obtuse upstairs. Even UK and USA hold on to certain cultural norms same way we have our own and one of their cultural norms is how straight men and gay men are perceived. Their men do not wax or shave off leg hairs or arm pit hairs as this is considered as gay but we can do it here with no qualms.

Just like when people put on jeans and then wear sandals on their feet is considered a gay dress culture in the USA but here it is a fashion trend and not seen as gay.

Travel and see the world or read up you will not. Instead you will be arguing from your bush man perspective.

Brilliant!!

I don't know why people are shocked by XXML33's question, it may have sounded like a big grammar filled question, but it made perfect sense. If you're into movies genres, you'd know all about dystopian, utopian, apocalyptic and post-apocalyptic movies. The 4 words go hand in hand and very similar but still different. Sometimes, both utopian and dystopian scenes are found in futuristic movies that are centered on apocalyptic or post-apocalyptic themes. They are found under the genre of sci-fi and fiction.

I can't go into details but if you're a movie buff like me, you can Google about the concepts and its roles in movies. Many popular movies , majority of which are sci-fi, you know are either utopian or dystopian, eg; The Island, Zootopia, Time Machine, Minority Report, Mad Max: Fury Road, Tomorrowland, The Book of Eli, The Matrix, The Divergent and Hunger Games series etc.
Is not about the grammar but the questions. He keeps asking questions about her writing(book). I was like, go and give it a try first and see for yourself grin

Watching Gedoni and Kaffi this morning, I hereby Opine that Gedoni loves Kaffi. That look in his eyes.
I like the space Kaffi gave him. More of that biko.

Gedoni is scared of loosing Kaffi.
I see the tension in his eyes as he tells her his biggest fears is things not being the same with them again.

Team Ike should be flattered by all the attention Tiribear gives Ike, Tiribear only attacks housemates he thinks are competition to his favs.

That is why his favorite people to attack are Ike, Tacha and Mercy.

she's right though.

I don't know about the UK, but in the US, armpit hair is viewed as a sign of masculinity by a substantial part of the population

Self-grooming and good hygiene is not big in most of the Western world, a lot of white people are extremely dirty, they don't have their baths frequently and according to a recent survey conducted, even when they bath, they don't wash their feet.

Most people don't realize that Africans are probably the most hygienic people in the world, we care about grooming and smelling nice more than most of the rest of the world
hygiene goes beyond taking multiple showers a day and smelling good. If you take 100 showers a day and live an unsanitary environment, you're not hygienic.

Nigerians are fund of throwing trash everywhere making most of their environmental unhabitable by a sane person. Imagine people dumpling bags of thrash along the drainage path when it's raining.

The smell in most cities of Nigeria can make you sick because they are being polluted by Nigerians who take regular bath.

How Often to take your bath?
The honest, albeit utterly vague, answer to the question is it depends. There really isn't a magic number that is right for every person. But, there is a general consensus among dermatologists that as a society we shower too often. Dermatologists vary in their recommendations, so advice runs the gamut from showering once or twice a week to once every two to three days.

A shower every other day or so is a good guideline. Most people can shower every second or third day and still be clean and unlikely to offend your family and co-workers. Babies and young children shouldn't be bathed every day. And as you get older you will probably want to cut back on the number of showers you take a week as well.

Showering more often doesn't make you healthier, and there is no need to shower more often to cleanse away bacteria. The human body is teeming with bacteria, the vast majority being helpful (or at least not harmful.) A daily shower, in many cases, is just not necessary.

They are not the same. Trust me. I know the way Threebear thinks and types.

Tetehjewels isn't as funny or as witty as Threebear. Plus it would be pointless from Threebear's persepctive to have a hidden alternate moniker that's doing essentially the same thing aas her original moniker. Threebear and Tetehjewels both support Mike and are both critical of Mike's detractors. What's the fun in having two similar identities as alternates?

If threebear wanted to create a hidden alternate, the alternate would be a Mike hater or a supporter of Tacha. This would be way more fun.

Please tell me do married people commit fornication or adultery ? grin

Of course ,the dumbest male housemate in the house will have dumb fans .

People connect with what they can relate with .

Forget semantics, adultery and fornication are one and the same. A married man having extramarital sex regardless of his martial status, have committed fornication/adultery.

I was an ardent fan of WWE, followed Wrestlemania back to back from the period of Owen hearts, Hitman, vokozuna et al to like wrestlemania 22... when i discovered its was all acting. My love for it dropped from a hundred to zero. I stopped watching entirely... really wished no one tampered with my ignorance because that messed up the fun for me

So, Kayode pitied me and took it back to my people.

Gee told my baby he wanted her group to win the runway task and also Enkay's but he really wanted hers to win. Then, he took the washing further by telling her the dress she made was beautiful, really beautiful and he said orisirisi about her look on that day(and i'm here like, the same day that lead to this wahala, issokae undecided grin).

While he talked, baby girl was just there doing hmmmmnnn with plenty smiles. He stopped talking and they started staring and smiling at each other. Afterwards, he stretched to the other side to pull off her shoes and gave his slippers to her shocked shocked grin grin. He took her hands and they moved into the house (Ike called Khafi in a sweet way and said goodnight. Ike Ike our guy kiss ).
