Rubbiish: Thanks mate for your concern. I was given a doc I drive with at the moment. Though I've been stopped by the police on several occasion but its just to ask for their usual tips. Maybe with vio and frsc, it may be something different. |

Wisdom7400: Very insightful thanks but that means normal extra tyre in the boot will take up more space cos it cannot fit inside that space and one gets to budget rim toobutif na to avoid FRSC wahala cos they know most ehail go fall short. It's the typical last card they will pull when you think you are on point with DL, documents and extinguisher all na to job u last.... 1 Like |

Tyche: Yes I get what jesuson2020 is saying ...but keep in mind not all partners are the same... yes it is true that maintenance can eat up your profit.... But a lot of partners are not hands on their business, most will let the drivers handle the servicing of their cars , I will never allow that ...I do bring in parts for my cars, which a lot of partners can't do , I do have trusty mechanics ,and more importantly I screen my drivers and I try to be fair to them. And also the type of cars matter .. I use civics which are cheaper for me to get.. The civics are very strong and the maintenance on it is very cheap... Unfortunately I hate to admit the civics 2003 to 2005 are stronger than the Elantra ...I am not saying that Elantra is not a strong car or not suitable for uber ..but on the business side of things the Civics pays me more when compare to Elantras and the Corolla... For years have been shouting and preaching to owners to do the basics maintenance on theirs especially using good engine oil ...but some will hear and do and others will say am trying to sell market .. Than at the end people will wonder how I was able to run my business successfully .... The conclusion here is that the points I listed as help me to maximize profits.. Yes at times repairs will eat most of your profit... but if u get a good mechanic and good parts it will reduce the eating of your profit... To go back to Jesusson2020 point.. When I had my old no good for nothing bleaching manager.. The profits I was making in one week. The manager will come back and collect it .. He will tell car spoil etc and funny enough it seems that we keep fixing the same issue that he collected money from. The money given to change oil ,he will not do it or better yet he will 5k naira oil .. I had to sell 4 out of 5 elantra because of him ..he basically ruined the engine .. This is how I got into the engine oil business. But at the end of the day am still here.. After changing mechanics and manager my outlook on the business has been very encouraging... Ps .. The old bleaching manager finally turn to police matter .when the bleaching manager try to sell one of my cars to my ex driver.. At the time the manager stated that I should sell one of my cars due to frequent repairs. So he said the car can only sell for 400k due to frame damage . So behind my back he told my ex driver to bring 600k that he will sell him the car ..The ex driver gave him 500k and than he will balance 100k while he still drives the car ... so when driver finally give manager is full money to release car .. Manager was giving excuse up and down.. Driver will call manager to get paper for car ,manger go lie up and down.. Until driver finally came to tell us what was going on ... so what we did was to tell the manager that we needed the car for a trip. Manager drop car for us ,two one week later manager wanted the car back . We told him we sold the car .. Now manager and ex driver turn to police matter. Ex driver wants is money back, manager no get car to give ..police station matters. Finally manager return the money and we now sold the car to ex driver for 600k ... We use brain for manager .. 9 Likes |

Make una help me beg taxify, who I offend, didn't have any bad encounter with rider, they always give me thumbs up and say thank you more then once, ever neat car and I don't let my tyres even get dirt... From 4.95 to 4.80, dropped to 4.70, now 4.65. I don tire o And I notice this dropping is always after surge ride, picked a rider on 2.5 surge yesterday, the way she is squeezing her face self, she have to go inside to get more money, is not my fault fah, I felt for her and hope MURIC won't attack bolt after the holiday, but will all pray for better day. 2 Likes |

Person wey masquerade dey pushu make im dey endure, as person wey dey run dey tire, na so masquerade dey tire too. Partners & Drivers are crying cos of low ride rates, Uber sef dey cry pass una. Uber’s Q2 earnings On August 8, Uber reported its Q2 earnings after market hours. While the highlight of the earnings woes was the company’s $5.2 billion quarterly loss, there were more misses. The gross bookings grew 31% to $15.8 billion during the quarter, but revenue growth was more moderate at 14%. The revenue growth of $3.2 billion was 7% lower than analyst estimates. Uber went public with a promise of growth. The company’s CEO, Dara Khosrowshahi, has often cited how big the market is and how small Uber is to justify its growth potential. What’s more worrisome is the revenue-to-gross bookings ratio. The ration has fallen from 22.5% in Q2 of fiscal 2018 to 20.3% in Q2 of fiscal 2019. This might be an indication of Uber losing its grip on drivers. Uber charges a certain percentage to drivers for every trip. While the gross bookings metric talks about trip cost, revenues only focus on what Uber gets. Falling revenue-to-gross bookings ration could mean Uber is getting a lower cut from drivers. This could be because of the changing regulations for the ride-sharing segment. Apart from regulatory issues, Uber is also facing backlash from drivers. Stock shows disappointing trend, Lyft improves On August 9, Uber stock ended 6.8% lower with disappointing Q2 earnings. However, Uber stock ended Q2 on a high note, closing above the IPO price of $45. Nevertheless, the stock has been on a losing streak this quarter. In Q3, Uber stock has lost 13.65% so far. The bigger pain may be yet to come. Slowing growth, regulatory issues, driver backlash, and rising competition threaten Uber’s valuation promise. In contrast, Lyft (LYFT), Uber’s main competition, had a good Q2. Lyft reported a 72% jump in revenues and a 22% jump in revenue per active user. The company also adjusted its 2019 revenue outlook upwards to $3.47-$3.50 billion. Lyft is also raising prices, suggesting a better competitive environment. Softbank reports losses on Uber stock In the first week of August, Japan’s Softbank Vision Fund (SFTBY) reported its Q1 of fiscal 2020 (from April to March) earnings. Softbank reported an unrealized loss of $1.8 billion on its investment in Uber and others. With Uber sliding down since the beginning of the current quarter, Softbank may report further unrealized losses on Uber stock. 1 Like |
