Good afternoon gazzuz. I have been dealing with transmission leak for some time. Car is honda civic 2007(i know you dont like hearing this name). Diagnosis always leads to the seal. I decided to change mechanic and he said it's the seal truly but previous replacement were not meant for the car hence the recurrence. Is it true different cars use different seals and do you have any contact for the particular car. Thanks

when the inner side CV is removed next time, confirm is has a smooth surface on the mating side with the seal.

Please I have a Toyota camry 2009 and I keep hearing a sound like a plastic hitting on a metal from the driver side.The first mechanic said it's the hub and we changed the hub and the noise is still there. He said he didn't know what the problem could be again. Now,I hear another cracking noise when I'm turning and a second mechanic said it's the shafts. We have since changed the shaft head/cup and the noise at turning has stopped. However, the initial noise sounding like a plastic and metal hitting each other resumed with a higher resonance. The noise is always heard between 60-80km/hr and on a very smooth road. Now, the 2nd mechanic says it's the shaft part connecting the gear box. He said the "bevel" needs to be changed and with that they have to bring down the gear for that. Please advise.

Am sure u may remember I have been using a 2007 Toyota camry since 2012. It still runs beautifully without any issues, just the occasional change of brake pads and engine oil. And I occasional need to top up the engine oil cos it burns,though not so much.
(I was told it's normal for the 07 model).

I opened a business in a nearby town from asaba, a place called Issele uku about 25min drive everyday to and fro. Now i have to top the engine oil with like a litre every 3days..... that's really unusual. The oil consumption just got worse.

The car isn't smoking and , it drives smoothly.....but how can I live with toping a litre @1400 every 3days.

Cos am sure it's not abt piston and rings....cos this oil SHORTAGE has been there since 2012 and no smoking.
