Mkenya2019,what do you think of a diaspora bond? Remittances have exploded 4x since 2010.

Kenyans working and living abroad are now sending home four times more cash than a decade earlier, official statistics show, underlining the importance in growing national wealth.
https://www.businessdailyafrica.com/markets/marketnews/Kenyans-abroad-in-push-for-diaspora-Treasury-bond-issue/3815534-4897672-khvga4/index.html

This year it'll reach 3 bn$ not a huge figure but def smth workable. We have the structures to properly securitise and channel the funds into development. Naij, with their 21 bn$ remittance (by their NCB rate) raised a measly 300 mn$ 2 yrs back.
Nigeria’s diaspora population sent home $21 billion in remittances in 2015 and the government wants in on some of that cash.

Through its first ever diaspora bond, the Nigerian government is looking to get its citizens living abroad to put some money towards funding part of its $23 billion record deficit budget. Issued last week at 5.625%, the five-year bond raised $300 million.
https://qz.com/africa/1014533/nigeria-has-raised-300-million-from-its-first-ever-diaspora-bond/

How would we go about it-sketch a rough road map,if you please!

Your debt to gdp is 70 percent according NDC MPs. your fraudulent govt quickly rushed to change the base year of your GDP so as to continue with the reckless borrowing

If you knew a little economics, you will know that borrowing in itself is not a bad thing. Every country, I repeat every country including developed ones must borrow it's way to development. You borrow, use it for a revenue generation project (not pay salaries), when it's above the limit, you rebase. Rinse and you repeat.

You base all your arguments against a nation on what the opposition says. No facts, nothing. I can sit in my country and believe Buhari is an illiterate simply becos the opposition says so.

Ghana's economy is growing at 8 percent while that of nigeria is fumbling at 2 percent. as we speak, oil prices have fallen below $60 a barrel and there is panic in aso rock because the fools have based their budget for this year on an oil price of $60 a barrel. in that zoo, everything revolves around oil. the Fools cannot survive without oil grin 2.5 million barrels of oil is sold in that dustbin country, plus billions of scf/d of gas yet the country is desperately poor grin grin grin this one is more than curse oooo grin grin grin grin chai, naija, the most useless country on the surface of the earth grin grin grin

Hahaha not so smart why did you ignore the second video on upperhill(I guess you were so ashamed) but chose to draw this illusion of constructed road and market buckets grin grin

Anyway here are some videos on upperhill; I hope you enjoy the bad roads, dirty silts at both corners, absence of pedestrian lanes (the ones that is available is old and dirty and in a very bad condition for a cbd),open gutters, potholes and massive road cracks, weeds growing to a height of a fast maturing tree (size of a bungalow) at corners of the road e.t.c
This is 4 months old

This is 2month old

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PRnf2mfUeJ0

Now back to westland. .I am an honest fellow apart from lower kabeta road which was just a 30 seconds drive and parts of peponi road which was just 13 seconds drive as well as Westgate mall road which was just 6 seconds(all interlocked roads ) the rest was just a disgrace I wasn't impressed and for a country whose citizen always shout world class road .If i am being honest i would say those roads are of the same standard with my village. I do understand that ring road has been blocked because it's underconstrution and I will love to see after it is concluded it. I hope you will notice the dirty silt that covered and piled up your roads at both side even in your new roads. By the way this video is 1 month old

If you tell me nairobi cbd roads are motor able I would agree but to tell me they are good/excellent HELL NO
That second video of the tourist was not of upper-hill. The guy when around random places in Nairobi, including market stalls not found in the CBD, He stayed in an air BnB not only outside the CBD but in a bad neighborhood, that's why I ignored that video.

I think you tried too hard to show the mistakes in the CBD, When you first talked about bringing pictures that were going to exposed our "rotten' roads in the CBD, I thought you hard really bad pictures, but what you showed wasn't pretty yes, but it wasn't bad either. Even the one you screenshot'ed showng a 'pothole', That's not a pothole, that's a scratch..

Let me show you some real potholes in your village called Lagos
Now this is a pothole!!!

Pic 1: Hope you saw what the buckets were bieng used for in Upperhill: They were selling freshly cut Roses grin

Pic 2,3 : Thats your BRT buses going through some major potholes... And the pedestrians can walk in the footpath because its impassable

This is a common site in Nigerian cities, They survive on generators!

And worse still, despite bieng the largest oil producer in Africa, The likes of Chevron, Shell,BP export all the crude oil then Nigeria has to import refined oil, They have one of the worst refined oil scarcity in Africa, And since they don't have enough electricity, The generators too end up running out of fuel its a perfect storm..

Residents queing up generators at the fuel station

These are generators bieng donated to the Nigerian Police so that they can keep serving citizens in the night

I can see I have given you one hell.of a job. .
Those videos are authentic and captured upperhill in its true undiluted unedited nature as other various youtube videos have revealed. You going online to get me some random archaic images is so funny..it's not as if that place can't still exist that's if the govt have not done something about it. Lagos is big and even that location seems unknown to me but look like mainland lagos and who is to know that this pictures are not old and the roads not repaired that's why I always advice that you stick to current and recent youtube video so you can provide your screenshot. .And by the way that not our cbd as my argument as always been centered on your most international tourist and business spot (CBD) the most developed spot in your over 500,000kmsq of resourcesless land.. lagos can have bad roads but a CBD hell no that is totally unacceptable .outside your cbd the rest part of nairobi and kenya is a massive slum and dumpsite with no roads as your country only manages to add an additional 600km paved road annually to the less than 10,000km of paved roads you have achieved since independence
By the way don't speak potholes to me cause the one in.in nairobi is a death trap..as for those pothole in that youtube video on upperhill that was just me being polite else I wold have provided you massive ones if I was so quick to screenshot
