I can go anywhere akute, abule egba, iganado, ibafo and making money until reality set in from body break down to car shocks n bushing, then LGA tout / lastma catching me when taking short nap.

Good afternoon all, I have been following this thread for sometime now but I started driving on Uber platform last week. I received a mail about my payment statement Monday morning but till now I’m yet to receive the payment. I had to check if I provided the right account number. Please what could be wrong?

I love buying full thank too cos most times I’ll have enough cash on me and I’ll be praying to see rider than can take cash and transfer into my account or use d money to buy full tank until a professional advised me not to always buy full tank. One it will add to the weight on d car. Two Ur tank need air space. So since then I try to buy what my car would use for a day.

I stopped buying full tank for discipline reasons.

1. With full tank most times i wont bother looking for shade in hot afternoon, will just chill inside ac and be waiting request. (shebi fuel dey na cheesy) Burning fuel.

2. I will be so free riding around, hunting for trips. Burning fuel.

3. If i buy little, i set the target, what it should return.

Typically 2k returns btwn 6 to 8k
Weekend, typically 3k returns 9 to 12k.

E show red i drive a trip or few km den top it with 2k or 3k again.

Usually, If my car shows first red i can drive it comfortably 40/50km before worrying about fuel if i really want to stretch it.
I have tested 60/65km with red before.

How do I register with uber or taxify and what I need to bring and how many days will that take me start?
Lastly I have other business so I intend to use 50 hours of my time in a week for uber or taxify or both, from your experience in the business, how much should be my expected income?

Thanks alot for your contribution

No matter how we try to maintain peace on this thread someone will just come to cos trouble or fight and insult.
Since today looks like a day to motivate.

I will like to Motivate or Encourage Graduates here. If u not a graduate yet pls hustle, add schooling or certification to ur plan. I was out of job from January and immediately decided to do E-hailing myself cos I thought u can net 350k every month without stress.
cut d long story short.
I kept on driving and pushing my C.v and contacts, talking to riders who cares and can help.
By July i got a job to resume immediately.
Now this is my point d mentality of an average Nigerian is dt u cant get a job easily, there is no job anywhere, u need connections. but as I speak my coy is still looking for 2 share point Expert since June. there is always Job for experience people, for fresh graduate it may be a little hard. so pls graduates lets keep developing ourselves, write exams and certification. because my few months driving wasn't funny, even though its my own car, the stress is not equal to money.

on my way home at times, i see lastma or tout and I will quickly arrange, even when im not driving, the mental stress n fear alone is killing.

Thought of dropping this for someone dt is almost giving up on Job search in Nigeria or feels it's not possible to get well paying job.
If u have faith in God all things are possible.
No matter d surge I made sure I never missed church on sundays n mid week services.

I want to say thank you to all d Elders, ur info, updates and quick responses to issues here is outstanding.

Thank you
Thank you
Thank you, God bless

Good luck man

This is false sir. The car I'm using was bought 550k and I don't even visit mechanics not even once in two weeks. I only go there to ask him to ride with me so as to notice if I need any fix.

Secondly, you're so hell bent on agreeing that Uber favours drivers... If this is same. Then keke riding will favor just the riders too. So its same old shiiiii.

Anyway I wish you luck and big chance of breaking even sir.

Abeg what brand of car is this?

Nice one brother.
Don't forget to check your brothers hustling on the street once in a while. Your boss might need a driver to run an errand or pick up discreet items and if there are opportunities, don't forget to drop by and ask if anyone here is qualified.
Good luck Baba and stay blessed!

So i heard, to survive in the banking industry especially branch staffs, you must learn to do eye service and frolick with the SBO's if you're a lady.
A female friend who just got in to Wema( operation staff handling cash) through graduate trainee told me so. She said within 2 months of her resumption before November confirmation , two of her oga are asking her out while the female Oga is bossy .

I don't want to call you a young fool. Did you not ask her where she was going? So you take people to buy gas? Even fuel? Put it in your car? Hahaha. How long have you been driving? I didn't want to comment here again but you made me do. Son, always ask riders their destination. Stop carrying fuel, diesel, gas in your car for a trip less than 2k. Always call rider then use physiology to know the kind of rider you will be dealing with. Bad rider cancel and move on. Got a request, asked rider destination, rider said vi. But his voice doesn't sound vi, I went and he brought two 50liters can and asked me to open my boot. I open my bonnet, began to clean my air filter. He complained and I asked him to request another one. My car no free start. Finally, he was going to buy fuel. Always ask riders their destination. Don't come here to complain again pls

This is rude, disrespectful, in bad taste and totally uncalled for.
Whatever sense you may have made flew out with your first sentence... All I can imagine is "who is this one". Must we all see the world through your eyes?

If you cannot be civil with a fellow driver how do you expect to get it from a rider... Shame on you, Pussy ass bitch
