Until they prove themselves in the world proper and also against Senegal (won 11 titles against Nigeria's 3), I won't really say they have arrived.

They beat Senegal in the 2017 final by 17 points; and reached the quarterfinals of last year’s World Cup, losing to the US at that stage. I’d also say they are looking good for a 4th African title.
D’Tigress are right there amongst the world’s best teams.

Bro, Senegal is ahead of us on FIBA ranking.

We are not ranked among the best 15

Do you know how many times they have beaten us? H2H

Yes we tried at the world stage in the last 3 years.. Hopefully we will perform better than last year.

Njong our (Cam) led the scoring with 16 points, while Amukamara led the Nigerian scoring with 14 points.
Cameroon only converted 20% of their 2-point attempts, Nigeria concerted 65% of their two-point attempts

Awesome list.. Good to see our guys from the NBA back doing their thing for us (notably Okogie, who was terrific for the Wolves). Almost all of the guys on the list play out of the country, what's happening with the guys from our Nigerian Basketball league?

Our team looks strong and the tournament is more open I must say, as almost all the teams stand a chance. If our boys can hold their own against Canada in a friendly, Canada with Nick Nurse as coach, then we at least can spring surprises. I don't see any clear favorite yet. Team USA is strong as usual, but this is the weakest USA team I have even seen, tho Pop is coaching them. What do you think?

TBH, I was surprised with their performance against Canada. add to the fact that they beat Dominican republic twice in San Domingo... I'm confident they will do well at the world cup .may even make quarter final...
As for USA, they still remain favorites o..regardless of how weak their squad may be.. I hope we avoid them grin

Haven't seen the USA team, but still, they're going to be the favourites whatever team they take.

D’Tigers are good enough to advance to, at least, the quarter finals. Funny enough, if they finish 2nd in their group, they could face the United States in the semifinals! cheesy

DRC are presently leading Cape Verde with 26 points in the fourth quarter of their game. So, it’s now pretty much confirmed that D’Tigress will face DRC in the quarter finals

The Senegalese you're hyping that have won the tourney 11 times, what have they done at the World stage? Nada! We're the only African team to ever reach the quarter final.
