Prior to the day, she insisted I shave my beard (something that broke my heart grin ). I told her it would make me look different from my passport and she said I didn't have to remove everything but she wanted it extremely low (which is practically everything).

Anyway I did so and I look horrible now grin

If I remember anything else, I'll edit and add. The trip was relatively uneventful.

Hello guys, Has anyone ever shipped a TV to Canada via cargo? Is it advisable (hoping handling won't render it useless). I am considering taking a TV with me. The electrical rating isn't an issue as the TV is between 100-240 volts.

Would like opinions.

Please is there any issue if the FRSC driver's license extract is addressed to the owner of the driver's license.

I.e. my letter was addressed to me at my Nigerian address instead of ministry of transportation in Canada. Could it lead to any issue?

Please don't buy jacket at 25k. That's almost $100 and it still may not be suitable for Canadian winter.

I dont live in Nipawin, but there are Nigerians who live up there. I met two at the last passport intervention in Saskatoon. However, we did not exchange contacts.

Sharing my landing gist cos i enjoyed reading others and it kept me hyped while waiting. Trip was for Fri Aug 9, Got to Airport 7pm. There was a lot of traffic getting right into the airport. Flew KLM with an itinerary of Lagos-Amsterdam-Calgary. They were pretty organized and decent for check in. Both my bags weighed 24 and 25 respectively while my hand luggage was 15 and they were really generous.
Departure was delayed and we left lagos at 22:30 instead of 21:45. Flight was pretty ok. I just need money to start flying business class. Lol. Meal was pretty decent. Main meal was mashed potatoes and chicken and a couple of others snacks. Wasnt interested with the on flight entertainment. I was drained. Just listened to music and slept. Got to Amsterdam 20 mins ahead of schedule at 5:00am. Layover was pretty much 6hrs. Boarded for the flight to Calgary at 11:45am. Flight was 8hrs 35 mins. Watched Endgame. Inflight entertainment was good. Had rice n barbecue chicken. I must say KLM had nice meals and snacks. Landed at Calgary at 13:25. No more landing cards, you are required to self check in digitally. Got to immigration for landing procedures, spent over an hour till it got to my turn. Took about 15 mins for the landing procedures. Just asked the statutory questions and had me sign off. It was quite cold and i was freezing. In August? Wow.
It was a good trip. Thankful to be here. My journey has come full circle. Praise be to God.

I had intended to actually bring a 19' TV cos it was also a monitor for my workstation. Eventually, I sold the workstation, and had a persistent buyer for the TV. The plan was to come with it in our luggage box. But, if its way bigger n you are considering cargo...I will advice to remove all sentiments n leave it Naija. Its also affordable here too. Who knows...U might be blessed with a TV in the apartment you move to.. Like me

Hi, I dont know how long. It depends on the program you are going for or whether it is a University, college or certification program. It's best you Google for relevant programs in the province you plan to settle in or if you are open to moving to another province then expand your search.
I know University of guelph has a Master's degree program in food safety and quality assurance. I think red river college has a post graduate diploma in QA/QC
