I only took it after delivery and since you tested negative at 36 weeks, there shouldn't be any problem.

I don't know about implications but when there is no medical need for it, why disturb baby that isn't ready to come out?

oluwaleokey , it will be a lovely dream come true yes but I heard if one induces and the induction fails, the next inevitable step is CS. I hope you have planned for that


If you were planning an elective CS, then you could choose dates but I doubt you can safely do that for vaginal delivery. My thoughts though.
My advise is to pray for baby to come as at when due. Though perhaps you could try stressing yourself a bit on your birthday or day before to see if your dreams will come true

I will be 39 weeks tomorrow, my EDD is 22/23 August.. I times the contraction and its 5 mins apart but I have not seen any mucus or water breaking.. is it really labour?

Can you go to the hospital to get checked? Some women like me don't break water until very far gone in cm. So dont use water breaking as a yardstick to go to the hospital.
If you wipe your vjay after using the bathroom what do you see?

Just the normal urine wipes... although it started in the early hours of morning, am not so sure if I wiped any mucus or something. I'm prepping to go to the hospital

Induction can be successful and unsuccessful which can lead to Emergency CS. But if you don't mind, then you can go ahead.
At 39weeks, I don't think your doctor would tell you to do such. He/she might suggest membrane sweep.
Most Babies will come when they are ready.
Suggestion- Try to Increase your activities. Dont stay indoors unless you are doing chores.

Almost on the same page but kinda different I did a long walk for 1hr30min on sartuday so that baby can show up on time ooo when I got back had my bath and started simulating my nipple which Start the contraction after it all i went to the hospital only for me to be checjrf

Almost on the same page but kinda different I did a long walk for 1hr30min on sartuday so that baby can show up on time ooo when I got back had my bath and started simulating my nipple which Start the contraction after it all i went to the hospital only for me to be checked I was 2cm dilated they moved me to the ward for progression by Sunday morning till evening I was 3cm dilated Monday morning I went back to 2cm dilated oooo so my doctors where contemplating if to induce but when they checked that have not gone pass my LMP which is 24th they changed there mind that induction can fail when one is not over due which my lead of Elcs Na so my body calm down jeje I was monitored till yesterday afternoon and after different consultations they agreed to rule it out as prolonged labour that if I see real contraction nobody will tell me that I should start coming thou I saw show yesterday and this morning but still waiting for strong contractions because I was told seeing mucus plug could take hours or days for real deal to Start but all is well I don calm my nerves just eating pineapple,squatting,ewedu and resting make baby come when e don ready

Chain God bless our mother's I was in the labour room about to be induced when I witness 2 other people screaming and battling with favour pain no be beans ooo and seeing many deliveries was just giving me ginger like baby you self come na
Hopefully soon my rainbow baby will arrive ooo

I just want to know if duphaston messes up with anybodys head as much as it messes up with my life... Once I take it, all the laziness of the whole world will tie me n I feel useless n sleepy.. From what I learnt in my own hospital, RhoGAM is meant to be taken by you not more than 72hours after delivery. I didn’t know about taking its vaccine on week 28. The injection (to be taken after delivery) is for subsequent pregnancies though.

Why don’t you ask your gynecologist/doctor if you have doubts. At least, there is no harm in asking questions, the worst is that they won’t answer you and you are entitled to asking question since you are paying for the service.

As for me, I believe your baby is very fine, and the future ones too are excellent. Don’t work yourself out on what you have no control over.

Since your coombs test is negative, that means you are not sensitized and might not need the 28 wks shot.
The articles online will most likely point you to take a shot as 28wks as it is the norm in America but our gyneas here don't share same opinion.

I took the 28wks RhoGAM shot in my first pregnancy simply because i had a spotting incident, my gyne adviced I take the shot to avoid possible sensitization.
I also took within 72hrs after delivery.

My subsequent pregnancy, I only took within 72hrs after delivery as I didn't have any spotting issues, I don't also intend to take at 28wks of this pregnancy until after delivery.

I also know 2 other rhesus negative mommas that has only been taking RhoGAM within 72hrs after deliveries without ever taking the 28wk shot as they didn't have any possible incident of sensitization and they haven't had a single issue about that.

Dont be worried. Since ICT is negative. My first pregnancy I didn't take it at 28weeks and even after delivery cos baby turned out to be negative too. My second I didn't take it at 28weeks cos I didn't have bleeding issues. I took it 12hours after delivery only.

I didnt take it @ 28 weeks.I took mine after delivery. delivered 10pm on Tuesday while I took the vaccine before 12pm on Wednesday. also did the ICT and everything came out fine. My baby is doing great.
