According to the Telegraph, Barca have big financial problems and they have already relied on loans to pay their players' salaries, so they don't have enough money to sign Neymar at all.

Barca has been a big player in the transfer market for many years and is willing to spend a lot of money on a transfer, but recently Barca's finances are not good. Last season's annual report which was released this month showed a net profit of just €4.5m, and the sale of players at the end of June for about €75m did not make Barcelona much of a profit.

In October last year, Barca estimated the club's annual payroll at €633m. The huge wage bill has hit the club's bottom line, which is why Barca are reluctant to sign Neymar from PSG this summer.

In order to pay their players' salaries, Barca applied for a €140m loan line from a New York bank during the 2017-18 season.

In fact, Barca are currently living off the loan and don't have enough money to sign Neymar.

what is the meaning of the cost along with the exchange of player. If you can afford something you can, if not then you cant. There is no in-between. Barca is broke, PERIOD.

I can’t Argue but have it in mind that Barca let go Neyma years ago and it’s either they buy him back but not involving both money and exchange of player .... Barca pass that level and they decide to let go and remember they still have the highest earner in history of Football in their team till tomorrow so, pack face coz I know you’re among those Barca haters ... awon èyan Ronaldo

thanks Barca lover, I thought the conversation was about whether Barca could afford Neymar or not. Now you have successfully turned it to something else.......have a nice day. For your information, Barca NEVER allowed Neymar to leave, he simply met the release clause and left of his own accord. Barca did not sanction the deal.
