These banks don't have calculators on their apps and websites. How do I calculate the returns on my investment based on the rates offered? Don't tell me its the value multiplied by the percentage rate then divided by 12 months. I don't see how this pays off. CompareDBest: |

mimini: If you don't have any immediate use for the money then 365 is the best as it usually offers the highest rate (as at the time of investing) There is no risk |

CompareDBest: I've always wondered how and why secondary rates will be higher than the primary one offered by CBN. I assume banks buy from CBN and then resell. So don't they make their profit? |
Re: Treasury Bills In Nigeria by OgogoroFreak(m): 7:32am On Aug 16, 2019 |
alezzy13:Those secondary rates higher than the current primary rates are mostly from tbills bought some months back not from the just concluded CBN rates. 4 Likes |

Re: Treasury Bills In Nigeria by CompareDBest: 3:22pm On Aug 16, 2019 |
Afeezoladapo:Yes, you can find out the rates the bank will bid for in the Primary market and the rates before you invest in the Secondary market. What you don't know in advance is if your primary bid will be successful (equal or lower than the CBN marginal/stop rate), or not. |

Please I do not understand these banks. I went to Zenith and was told only 1 million upwards. Also at Stanbic IBTC, was told secondary has ended. Only primary is on. But I thought the rates been display was on the 15th. So why are they saying secondary has ended. And why will Zenith say only a million naira upwards can invest? |
Re: Treasury Bills In Nigeria by Nnamz(m): 1:51am On Aug 17, 2019 |

Prolly you got to the bank later than 3pm for Second Market. As for limit, some banks set their own minimum. Some 100k, others 200k. Don't know about Zenith's mimini: |
