I don't know why you want AMD processors and HDD when there's Intel and SSD though. The first one is okay and good luck. 2 Likes 1 Share |

AMD A series and E series are better than the so call Intel. AMD used to be thorn in the flesh until the creation of the series. All AMD comes with default dedicated graphics of 512MB but Intel. The second option might have dedicated graphics of 1-2gig graphics. The new series hardly heat up and are faster than Intel of the core I series. 1 Like 1 Share |

thug:\ You are current about most AMD coming with default dedicated graphics though not all but wrong about the AMD above been better than intel core I series. you can check up CPU (processor) performance benchmarks. 1 Like 1 Share |

I don't care which is better, whether AMD or Intel. I would choose Intel anytime. if your IDE would be heavy then consider the number of cores in the processor, spend of the processor, RAM and maybe storage space. 1 Like 1 Share |

Thompz43: Then run away from the above...lol But for a start IHO when purchasing a laptop for programming put the following into consideration (1) The Processor CPU go with atlest a 5th or 6th Generation Core i5. (2) The RAM atleast 8Gb (but I Recommended 16Gb) will do for a start you can upgrade with time. (3) The Storage 500Gb Hard Disk Drive HDD but for better performance install a Solid Disk Drive (SSD). I personally don't put much emphasis on Graphic Cards though I can understand why people will need them and as for the manufacturer you can go with Dell or Lenovo but Hp and Acer will not be bad idea. You should be able to work with programs like Sublime, VS Code, Visual Studio 2017 comminity edition, Adobe Phostoshop or Illustration, SQL Server, MySQL or MariaDB, Webserver one or two virtual box. comfortably without stress. hope this helps. Happy coding... 1 Like 1 Share |

bvmloveme: why 5th or 6th generation? when some 2nd & 3rd Gen processors still perform better than them. 1 Like 1 Share |
