Recently my Samsung phone go stolen which is few month's old, and the second phone i got since my phone got stolen last year .
It was really painful as all attempt to use "find my device" has proved abortive , not even the Samsung version .. Plss does anyone here know an effective means which i can recover my stolen phone, I would really need all suggestions now thank you in advance for your help.

Aswear, the 20k was even returned to someone I know, after the police billed billed the thief like 120k.

The find my device app works, but the phone you are trying to track must have an internet connection and must also have location turned on. The other method that uses the phone imei does not need an internet connection. Which you read here How to track your lost android phone.

RECENTLY I HAVE BEEN GETTING CALL FROM PEOPLE ASKING ME TO TRACK THEIR STOLEN OR LOST DEVICE, SOMETIMES I TRY TO EXPLAIN TO THEM THAT, I DO NOT TRACK PHONES I WAS SOMEONE WHO LOST HIS DEVICE AT THE TIME THIS POST WAS MADE.

WHAT IM GOING TO DO HEREVIS MAKE A LIST FOR U ON WHAT I DID THAT CAN HELP THO NOT GURANTEED.

1. REPORT TO THE NEAREST POLICE STATION ABOUT THE ISSUES AND THE IMEI OF THE STOLEN DEVICE.

2. THEY GOING TO CHARGE U MONEY FOR IT

3. ITS MAY TAKE ALOT OFF TIME, SOMETIMES SO LONG THE POLICE GETS TIRED OF THE CASE AMD U LOSS EVERYTHING.

5. IF THEY SUCCEED IN GETTING THE PERSON HE WOULD ME MADE TO PAY THE FULL LOSS OR REMAIN IN PRISON. PRAY THE THIEF IS NOT POOR.

MOST IMPORTANTLY I DON NOT TRACK PHONES . PLS READ A D UNDERSTAND THIS.

what you can do is
first step you either go to the security place which is a police station or look for one of those tech-savvy guys like Plaza boys to help you tracking , after tracking it they will get the phone for you. if it's already active then you simply arrest the person and finally gets the person to pay the bills for your tracking and also for the phone lost or return the phone if it's not damaged or still in the exact condition it was stolen or the person will remain in prison.

just basic ideas from the advice given to me on this thread first I went to the station attracted by themselves and call me when it was ready it took about a month I almost lost hope
