Good morning fellow nairalanders,

I applied for a study visa through paper route mid June 2019.
I did an upfront medical and indicated that i had done biometrics for an earlier application in 2015 which was previously denied.
It has been silence since then but i got an email on monday from Nairobi saying my biometrics was valid and accepted and now just got another email that my processed passport is ready for collection at the VFS office.

The suspence eh!
Why cant they just tell me my fate in an email?
Please is there a way i can know my fate as i wont be available till sometime next week to go to VFS office.

hello house,
i just check my mail to see that i have gotten a reply since 6th. The reply was a refusal based on the following reasons but i'm not sure that is correct.
{ I am not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay, as stipulated in subsection 216(1) of the IRPR, based on the purpose of your visit.

• Pursuant to paragraph 220(a) of the IRPA, I am not satisfied that you have sufficient and available financial resources, without working in Canada, to pay the tuition fees for the course or program of studies that you intend to pursue.

• Pursuant to paragraph 220(b) of the IRPA, I am not satisfied that you have sufficient and available financial resources, without working in Canada, to maintain yourself and any family members who are accompanying you during your proposed period of study.

• Pursuant to paragraph 220(c) of the IRPA, I am not satisfied that you have sufficient and available financial resources, without working in Canada, to pay the cost of transporting yourself and any family members who are accompanying you to and from Canada.
You are welcome to reapply if you feel that you can respond to these concerns and can demonstrate that your situation meets the requirements. All new applications must be accompanied by a new processing fee.}

Please, Can I request for GCMS note, if am to how to i start it. Thank you very much

I reached out to u via mail.. sorry for your refusal bro

The first thing was to link your application online. If you had done that, then you will see the progress or process and know your faith.
What date did you submit exactly?
This biometric you got, is it a biometric validation letter?

Have you downloaded the correspondence letter and read what is inside?
Have you done medical? Upfront or call for?
At this point, what is the final decision showing?

The process of linking application online is available on this thread. search for it through the search space box, please ensure you select travel as your section. If found, follow the process sequentially, ensure the information you are giving is same as what you filled in your CIC FORM & your passport

Dear House,

I am back again with question concerning how much a sponsor must have in his/her account.

My cousin got admission for a 2 years program at NAIT and the Estimated Tuition for First Academic Year is between 15,000 to 18,0000CAD. How much must his sponsor show in his account? Will 3 million or 4 million naira suffice? His program is a diploma degree.

I look forward to your replies.

Thanks.

A sponsor with just 4M in the account might not fly.
Why?
1. Is the sponsor going to empty his savings in the name of sponsorship?
2. Tuition of 18,000+ 10,000 living expenses cant be covered with 4M

My thoughts...……..
