Eastern Europe is generally poorer than Western Europe and most of those countries were labelled 2nd World Countries as against the 3rd World you are so keen on using-- they are not as rich as the 1st World but not as poor as the 3rd World.

Asides that, Ukraine's HDI is not the same as that of the '3rd World' Countries. It is higher and I think that is a more reasonable index for measurement.

That inter-racial, intercultural relationships have to be approached with a lot of caution.

When diving into an inter-racial relationship, you are in essence going into the unknown. You don't know the person's culture, what is right or wrong, how things are, how to identify the good people from the bad , etc.

He could be restrained because he's been sedated and operated on. They don't want the man to wake up and hurt himself. He was probably on so much medications that he would have woken up totally disoriented and not aware of his injuries or what happened.
