Oga bellong, in spite of the day to day activities of your life, and the fact that you have a family, you still take it upon yourself to respond to as many queries as you can. Personally. No matter how silly or outlandish they are. I don't know whether you are a theist, but God will bless you. Thank you very much. 9 Likes |

Beemer: The receipt will show date of payment but the tax statement will only show the years your tax remittance covered not payment. You can have this discussion with the internal revenue in your state. |

Egwaksuno: VETASSES is clear on the required qualifications for the occupation. Minimum of diploma in occupational health and safety. |

Obyroli: I can't really give you specific advice on what to choose. However, if you will be able to score at least 75 points on your own, you can nominate Web administrator because Queensland nominates it on 190 and will be reopened soon. Other option is Web developer, it is on medium availability on NSW list and high points (80) on SA. It is also currently available in ACT. The decision is yours. 1 Like |

tunlex01: They do it for all occupation but it is not consistent with the Migration ACT 1958 as amended and ANZSCO requirements for some occupations. If you don't mind sharing it, you can get in touch. |

tunlex01: For a lot of occupations, VETASSES does not accept experience in lieu of qualification if the qualification is not highly relevant. |

bellong: Why do you propose Chemistry technician over Chemist? Is it easy to get good assessment for Chemistry technician than Chemist? Because i checked and Chemistry technician does not have 189 visa, and cannot be sponsored by family under 489. Maybe things will change when 491 visa kicks in... And can i apply immediately after graduation, knowing i won't have any experience points? |

Re: DIY Guide To Australian Permanent Resident Visa - Part 2 by bellong: 8:44am On Aug 16, 2019 |
oyetpel: Chemistry technician is a skill level 2 occupation. Your degree from UNILORIN will be assessed as equivalent of an AQF Associate degree which is lower than required level for a Chemist. Chemist is a skill level 1 occupation and required your degree to be assessed as AQF Bachelor not Associate. If you want to nominate Chemist, the program from UNILORIN must be five years or you have a Masters degree. It is what it is with VETASSES. We are trying to challenge some of these things but yet to get anyone that will volunteer to be part of it. Is it easy to get good assessment for Chemistry technician than Chemist? Refer to the above
This assertion is not right. It is listed under SLTSS list, it is available for family sponsorship. Do you have family to sponsor you?
Everybody is waiting for that to happen. And can i apply immediately after graduation, knowing i won't have any experience points? No sir, you can't. You need at least one year post-qualification experience to get a positive assessment. |

bellong: Thanks for the clarification, yes i have a cousin there who can sponsor me. He's married to an Australian lady. Will the One post-qualification experience require me to have tsx returns and all that? I am asking to know if i can do a voluntary chemistry based work immediately after graduation. |

Beemer:If you are able to sort it out with your state revenue service, that will be fine. If not, what other employment documents do you have to submit apart from d reference letter? I have seen cases of people without tax/pension get grant recently, however bear in mind that no two cases are the same cos they were able to submit other documents to substantiate their claims. Also, how many years of experience are you claiming? |

crowniran: What arears exactly do you need help? To get started, I will advice you download the MSA booklet on EA website and read it thoroughly. You should also try to get samples of Career episodes to familiarize yourself with the format. Just check through this thread or the previous ones. If after all these, you think you still have issues, then you can reach out to me. But it will be better if someone who has assessed as a Civil Engineer can guide you properly. I am more comfortable guiding people on how to prepare CDRs for Chemical or Petroleum Engineers 1 Like |
