Hello, what are the chances of my 1 year Korean language certificate from my language program being evaluated as 2 or more certificates in addition to my 4 years bachelors degree? I went to school Monday-Friday for a year like any other regular University program. |

Hi Fam! Silent reader mode deactivated. It’s COPR!! I’d like to thank everyone who’s poured of themselves into this forum. God first- He’s too much! and in no particular order- Newmum, Ifeoma and joo2018, godisincontrol. twetey, 40manlappy You guys really helped me. God will always show up for you guys. IELTS 1 – January 20, 2018 IELTS 2- November 10, 2018 WES – October 30, 2018 ITA – December 19, 2018(Cut-off 439, CRS 440) MEDS - JAN 29, 2019 AOR – February 14, 2019 MEP – APRIL 2, 2019 BIL – APRIL 3, 2019 PPR – July 15, 2019 VO – Ottawa COPR-August 15, 2019 Typed up most of this on the 14th of February in faith. ECA: This was a hurdle that started in May, 2017 and took 6 months to cross. I first registered in May 2017 but then the sins of my father almost wrecked my destiny. Let’s just say he registered me in high school with the wrong year of birth and I had to live with that lie throughout my Uni years too. Fortunately for me, I decided to get back on the right track and claimed my real age. Now, the catch, passport and original birth certificate both had same dates, while transcript had another. Uni refused to change the year obviously so I went back home dejected and gave up on the Canadian dream. A year later my friend advised me to send both my passport, birth certificate and a sworn affidavit declaring my age. I was skeptical but I gave it a shot. I used ETXNG and it was the worst decision ever. Between them and Wes, my assessment took 6 months from May to October! Luckily for me WES quoted my real age on my ECA. Phase 1 complete IELTS: Now, because of my age discrepancy and no ECA, we tried to make hubby the primary applicant, but as age no dey him side, we were on 436 for the longest time. January 2018, we lost 5 points and I thought to myself, game over. Between hubby and I, we wrote IELTS 4 times- 3 times with BC and 1ce with MOD. My first attempt was to boost hubby’s scores as he was initially the primary applicant, the second time was after my ECA was done and I thought I’d give it another shot. Thankfully it paid off because IELTS WAS WRITTEN IN NOVEMBER and ITA was gotten by a stroke of luck in December CRS was 440. L= 8, R = 7., S = 7.5, W = 7 My 1st attempt BC L= 9, R = 7.5, S = 7.5, W = 7.5 My 2nd attempt. MOD I used ieltsliz for the second attempt ITA: As soon as the ECA was done, I jumped into the pool with 440. I was hoping that by mid 2019 it should have dropped from the high 450s na. Thank God for God ITA landed Dec 19, early Christmas present. Cut off was 439, my husband keeps saying it dropped for my sake. POF: Before I got ITA, I had already gotten 70% of my POF sitting in an account for over 6months. The remaining money came in from my husband. It was actually a messy situation because there was a lot of liquidation and transfers between my accounts. I got letters from 2 banks and presented statements for 3 accounts with the relevant transactions highlighted. I didn’t get a letter of non-indebtedness. Thank God it wasn’t requested. Studio 24 and PCC: Both were done on the same day we paid 10k in Lagos for both hubby and I. REF LETTERS: I got one reference letter from the bank where I worked for a little over 3 years. I submitted just the letter. Nothing else. I was so worried about my job description matching my selected NOC because I worked in Funds Transfer and whichever I tried to spin it, it just wasn’t gelling with NOC 1114. In fact, I had foolishly chosen 6235 PRE-ITA and had to change it to 1114 POST ITA after reading up on this forum. I still wasn’t convinced but I backed it up with prayers. Wetin, I for do? AOR: I submitted on the 14th of February, I was somehow convinced that the love in the air would somehow work in my favor. I attached an LOE explaining why I changed my NOC, why my POF was in separate accounts and my UK visa refusal. I labelled each document by name of applicant and name of document e.g. SHARON ADEMIDE MARTINS_BIRTH CERTIFICATE. All fees were paid upfront The WAIT: The first 4 weeks post AOR were very challenging. I used to check my profile daily, I was totally consumed with worry. I registered on Immitracker and visited Canadavisa Forum daily. First, I really just wanted to pass medicals, at least that would show some kind of progress on my account. It took 47days to get the meds passed notification and Biometrics request. Progress at last! Or so I thought. I didn’t hear pim from them after that, April, May, June, I was losing my mind. My brain was literally hurting from all the tension and worry. I requested for GCMS notes from GCMSBuddy after 100 days, which was the 4th of June. I sent them an “how far” mail on the 10th of July, got my notes the very next day. Lo and behold, I was flabbergasted by what I saw, nothing! Just Medicals and criminality passed. Eligibility and the rest not started, ha, so there’s still a chance I could get refused It hadn’t even reached the desk of the reviewing officer, I was deflated. The only new info I got was that my VO was Ottawa. I begged God to give my daughter PPR for her birthday present (birthday, 19th of July) Meanwhile I had forgotten that I also raised a CSE earlier on the 5th of July asking for my VO and status of my application. I got a mail CE CSC Do not reply on the 15th of July around 6pm. I almost fainted, I swear, I thought it was IRCC sending me my rejection letter, I was shaking as I opened the mail, see relief as I realized it was a reply to my CSE- “Your application is currently being processed at the Case Processing Centre in Ottawa, Ontario. Since it was received on February 14, 2019, it is still within regular processing times”. I was like kilo fa rubbish na! Something told me to log in to my CIC profile and I was shocked to see Application/Profile Updated. Sharperly, I checked and nothing had changed. Ghost update? I was like well, someone finally picked up my file! I called my friend and she was like don’t worry, someone has remembered you. I was about to go to bed around 11pm on the same 15th and wanted to check up on my husband as he was out of the country briefly. That’s how I saw the new email notification on my Gmail, swiped down and saw CPCO-Final Request, what’s this again? I opened it and saw Ready for Visa as the subject, continued reading and saw YOUR IMMIGRANT VISA(S) APPEAR(S) READY TO BE ISSUED. Me and my 4month pregnant belly fell to the floor and started crying. I couldn’t believe it was over. My 4yr old daughter ran to get my brother because she was scared, all I could say was, Canada. My brother thought we had been refused because why else would I be crying. I told him no, approved. He just hissed and walked out. Lol. I called my husband and he too was scared because the tears were still falling. I told him the wait was finally over. I couldn’t sleep that night, I was afraid that if I slept, I would wake up and find out it was all a dream. My fitness band recorded only 2hrs of sleep. I can’t explain the joy that comes with the golden email. I can only pray that all of you waiting for it will receive it speedily in Jesus name., I don’t care what anyone says, PRAYER helps. It’s hard not to worry, even with the knowledge that worrying won’t change a thing. Don’t fret and don’t give up. Keep a positive mindset at all times. Do exactly what you’ve been instructed to do, be very clear and concise in your application. Avoid discrepancies and oversabi. It ended in praise. 109 Likes 7 Shares |
