When you want to hide something from an African Kenyan, put it in writing, he won't find it.

I guess you didn't read the attached link.It says 73m people but in your haste to talk you thought the 73 stands for 73%.How dumb!

73m out of 200million for Nigeria is about the same percentage as 17million out of 50m for Kenya.
If you consider that then you would see that your country is disgraceful and scum as well. You got little to celebrate.

Your facts are wrong, Kenya's electrification rates is currently over 75% and I guess we're around 79-83% gauging from the intensive electrification programme which have been taking shape since 2017.
Kenya is on the path of implementing last mile connectivity project to clinch 100% universal electricity access by 2022, just the recent launch of Africa's largest wind farm power project is a big player towards this ambitious project.
Kenya is among the top ten tiers of renewable energy in the world.

While Nigeria's current electrification rate is 55%.
2030 is the year your government has dedicated to achieve universal electricity access a time when Kenya's electrification rates will be over 200% now that our government has also laid plans to invest in nuclear energy before 2028.

Electrification rates;

Ghana - 83%
Kenya - 75-81%
Nigeria - 55%
Tanzania - 33%

Before we go to kenya - Let digress....to the laggard NIGERIA>

Nigeria has always claimed to have about 50-60% of electricity access. Of course, we know such data is doggy because your NEPA would have like 25-30M customers. I assume an average of 5-6 individuals per household in a 180-200m population - roughly 40-50M households.

Can you gives us breakdown of electricity connection in Nigeria - number of customers in those power (less) companies.

Kenya in 2002 had 12% of it's citizen connected to electricity. KPLC (Kenya Power Co) had I think about 300,000 customers. Right now KPLC have more than 7M customers (Households).Kenya has made TREMENDOUS progress in electricity connection and has been lauded for that.

Kenya has population - 47-50M (we will know in 3 months after census next week) - with about 12M households. As we speak we still have about 4M households...roughly 16m people (4 individual per household) not connected to electricity.

We are razing towards connecting that 4M household either to main or off-grid solutions so we can achieve universal electricity access. Then we will worry about the prices & consumption. Our power is already very reliable and stable.

Let us not talk about blackouts and generators for now.

No,you have 17million people out of 50 million. That's what your map says, buddy. You brought the map and this long nonsensical talk is unnecessary.

That map shows 2017 stats when Kenya's electrification rates was 64%, right now we're in 2019, electrification rate is over 75%.
Roughly 10 million out of 50 million Kenyans lack electricity access and by 2022-23, the electrification rate will be 100%.

it's not my map.its IEA energy outlook 2017.As of now 2019..I think only 3m households translating to 12-13m Kenyans do not have electricity. We are connecting more than 1m households annually translating to 4m people..so in 2yrs we will achieve universal electricity acess.

Well, this report for example says a lot unless one chooses to ignore it. And I expect those arguing with you not to ignore it because of how seriously you seem to be taking this whole thing.

Electricity
access in Kenya is low despite the government’s
ambitious target to increase electricity connectivity
from the current 15% to at least 65% by the year
2022.

Beyond your paygrade.NERA is your energy regulator. In Kenya we call it ERC.Energy Regulatory Commission.Yours must stand for Nigeria Energy Regulatory Authority or Agency.
