the second pic you uploaded is giving the impression of bitot spot seen in hypovitaminosis A causing xerophthalmia . Can't tell if it's the camera reflection that's making it appear that way. I ll advise you go back to any of the clinics that attended to you and request for a tear assessment test. Sometimes you have to try different artificial tear drops until u get d one that works for you.

Good morning,
I had used glasses(myopia) since I was 15 till age 22 then stopped.
Years later,I keep having this migraine that won't stop despite medications.Visited an eye clinic&I was diagnosed of glaucoma.
Went to another eye clinic&same. I got my glasses back & was placed on Betazolol eye drops for over a year& I go for regular checkup.
Then my eye doctor changed my eyedrop to Brimopress. I felt better using these two eyedrops.Kept checking my IOP & it was much better.I was on brimopress for two years plus
I went for checkup sometimes last year&was asked to stop brimopress, and come back for checkup.
I changed location & couldn't go.I have this phobia of seeing a new eye doctor again.
Haven't been feeling the glaucoma induced headache.
My concern is this
1) My present glasses (Myopia)is over a year old now& I notice any time I dont use it for probably few days.I put it on,I feel this slight headache. Which sometimes goes on it own.
2)Going back to the hospital.. Won't I be placed on eye drops again.
Living on eyedrops till I die is scary.

P.S My Eye Doctor said I had glaucoma due to eye trauma. My parent later told me a nursery teacher had tried beating me& the cane entered my eye.
After, reading on glaucoma myself..I think my unattended myopia caused it..I might be wrong..

Sorry for the epistle please

there's no cure for glaucoma. It can only b managed hence the need to keep in touch with your eye doc for monitoring. If you fail to manage it appropriately, you could loose your vision , so i'll advice you do not take it lightly and go see an eye doc as soon as you can. It's true myopia is a risk factor for primary open angle glaucoma (I.e myopes are more likely to have glaucoma than non myopes) but yours according to the doctor that examined you was likely caused by trauma. As for your having headaches with your glasses, you should also discuss that with your eye doctor so he/she reviews your lens prescription . best wishes

OK just go back to your eye clinic and request a tear assessment test so we can tell if the symptom you re having is due to insufficient tears as well as your doc looking out for meiobomian gland dysfunction/posterior blepharitis.I hope u get a solution quickly.

Please I need help

pcproblem:
Hello everyone, I started noticing itching and pain in my eyes when I look at light from my phone, torch, tv, laptop, my phone is on night shift and it still hurts, is there anything to do about this, like drugs or I should see an optometrist, but I don’t want glasses.

I had been experiencing some dryness in my right eye. I went to a pharmacy but the pharmacist seen some dirt in my eye suggested that I don't need eye drops but I should see eye doctor, I was diagnosed of having dirt in my eye leading to reddish eye, what can I do to remove the dirt?I don't want operation.

lolz. My dear please do see an optometrist and if glasses is what would help you out, do not feel bad about it. You should at least be happy that there is a solution to your problems.

an optician? Go and see either an optometrist or an ophthalmologist. An optometrist would refer you to a good ophthalmologist to have it done. I do not know what marks the person is talking about here if it's about chalazia removal . upon discovering ocular hypertension, what were his recommendations?

Maybe I made a mistake in calling him an optician.cause I went to a private hospital.
He said I wil need glasses and some drugs.
Said there is too much pressure in my eye and it led to the bump(chalazion).

This small bump wan turn to something else OK.

Bro please can you refer me to optometrist.

I am an Eye doctor, I discovered through clinical experience that most Patients don't really know about some basic things and problems affecting the eyesn and these has led to simple eye problems being seen as complicated and frightening to most patients and they don't really know how to go about it. There are some eye problems that are hereditary, which requires normal routine eye examinations but due to ignorance most patients tend to lose their sight to eye problems that could have been prevented. I want to use this opportunity to enlighten us and provide solutions to problems affecting the eyes,in line with WHO Vision 2020-Right to sight for all, so all questions concerning the eyes are welcomed
How can someone who always works on the laptop take care of their eyes to prevent eye challenges in future?
Thanks so much.
