Yeah, it is rather confusing. But remember the holy communion is called "The Lord's Supper" so i suppose it's best to take it as a meal at night like a supper.

there is an instruction that the Israelite were to wait after sundown which is evening. nowhere in the Bible was it mentioned that the Lord super enriched the spirit. partaking is meant to signify something important


If you don't know something, learn to ask. Don't just open mouth and spew gibberish. Holy communion is not the same as the passover meal celebrated by the Jews in rememberance of their deliverance from Egypt. Holy communion was instituted by the Lord, Jesus Christ himself. For the scripture says:
On the night he was betrayed, Jesus took the bread, blessed it, broke it and gave it to his disciples saying "This is my body which will be given up for you". In the same vein, he took a chalice, blessed it and gave it to his disciples saying "This is my blood, the blood of the new covenant, it will be shed for you and for all so that sins may be forgiven. Do this in memory of me".
Prior to this Jesus has had a controversy with the Jews where he said whoever does not eat my flesh and drink my blood, has no life in him. He said my flesh is the real food and my blood is the real drink.

So please are these not enough to let you know that communion enriched the spirit? Again I plead with you to stop talking nonsense. Your G.O. did not even disagree the communion does not enrich the spirit, his only bone of contention is when it should be taken. One that may be borne out of his ignorance of happening in the early church, for Acts 3:48 says:

"Each day they met together in the Temple area; they broke bread in their homes; they shared their food with great joy and simplicity of heart;
they praised God and won the people's favor. And every day the Lord added to their number those who were being saved."

I don't think these were happening at night.

However the LEGALISTIC emphasis on timing of Holy Communion is simply unnecessary. It sounds like Pharisees' legalistic observance of Sabbath, which Jesus condemned. The truth is that the ACT of taking of Communion and TIME it is taken are very much INFERIOR to the FRUITS the act is meant to produce: uncompromising love for God and sincere show of love (care, forgiveness, compassion, etc) for fellow human beings.

It is not old age. It is burn out. Papa Adeboye that we know before is highly revered and not anyhow person can talk to him let alone people like Daddy Freeze to be having a banter. We have men of God old yet still scripturally sound like Morris Cerullo, Kenneth Copeland, even baba Sadela of blessed memory (105 or so) and many others.
Spiritual burn out happens when u start taking God for granted. You are too familiar with God hence your words no longer carry weight and spiritual sense.

You need to be cautious about making these kinds of statements. first of all, do you deeply understand the significance of the communion then and now? was the time of the day the event occurred relevant to its significance? You are saying this probably because you are a redeemer, it's alright to abide by a principle. However, I don't believe pastor Adeboye has the spiritual authority to make such a proclamation. We are at liberty to chose to obey him or chose not to, by the direction of the holy spirit. Shalom

Jesus gave His disciples at night but never limited the serving of communion to a night affair only.

U drink it so long as ur doing it brings to ur remembrance the death, suffering and resurrection of Jesus.

Man, you are definitely not ultimately correct. Did Jesus say do the "last supper" in remembrance of him? I could argue that it was called the last supper because it happened at night. The time of the event was not referred to specifically, so i am afraid we have the freedom to lay more emphasis on the significance of the event in happenings. In the book of Luke, it was called the passover, which coincided with the period of the passover celebration in Jewish culture. The fact that the event happened sometime before his arrest and suffering brings into context that the time of that occurrence was a coincidence(It preceded his arrest in time). So, a remembrance of the event at night is neither correct nor wrong.

What's the meaning of the word "supper"? Google would assist you. Jesus said do this in remembrance of me. Supper means dinner and not breakfast or lunch meal. Lots of people have turned the bible upside down and many people are just following the confused bible twisters like mumu. If Jesus could instruct followers after taking the last meal with his disciples which He called supper and asked them to do it in remembrance of Him, and some denominations would change the instruction by taking a supper(dinner) in the morning or at noon, then it calls for a concern in the christendom. I feel sorry for people like you who, instead of pondering on such an important issue , would rather prefer to attack the man of God for trying to correct some mistakes made by millions globally.

Show me where IN THE BIBLE Jesus asked his disciples to demand the following:
* Fruit of first harvest
* Worker's due
* Holy Ghost convention
* Tithe on every one naira earned (regardless of it coming yearly, monthly, weekly, daily, per hour, minutes or by the second)
* To embarrassingly lie with the phrase "I am fasting" just to avoid holy Communion IN GOD'S HOUSE!
