In contrast to Chelsea, Liverpool has the quality in players and depth in their roster to carry out this style sustainably. More importantly, Klopp has had 5 seasons to build the high press/ intense style Liverpool now play. Chelsea has to basically see off games before the end of the 1st half and before the 75th minute of the 2nd half if they are to win games convincingly.

You are making my point for me. Your roster is thin in quality to maintain this style sustainably especially if you consider the number of competitions you are playing this season (UCL, EPL,FA Cup, Emirates or whatever the name is now). If one of your young core players gets injured, you are going to be in serious trouble because Lampard will have to restrategize. Also, Jorginho is no longer the driving force neither does he engineer the intensity from the middle.

All I am saying is that Lampard needs to have a backup strategy because this does not look sustainable to me.

This is the 3rd consecutive game where Chelsea have looked fatigued and their intensity has dropped before the end of the 1st half. If you had a deep squad, then I would not worry but you guys have a thin squad in quality for 4 competitions.

Sarri played jorginho in that role, Lampard came in and is still playing jorginho even pep wanted to buy jorginho to play him in that exact role but you that have no coaching experience or skills is saying jorginho is the issue .

I am not saying this style is not exciting but for a thin squad, Lampard needs to be smart so he does not run his players to the ground quick. Situations like this are when players start to develop silly muscle injuries because of the changes in intensity. Lampard needs to develop an alternative strategy and know when to build the intensity and when to balance the intensity by keeping possession without the intensity.

Then you know how unsuccessful it was and how they always lost against the smaller side because his press couldn't work against teams that sit deep. Also how they where gassed out by the 2nd half of the season until he decided to change his approach and go for more control in games.

Firstly, what is the meaning of the word 'Sustainable"?

Sustainable is the ability to maintain a defined level or standard over a long period of time. In this instance, the variable(s) being argued about is the intensity and high-pressure style employed by Lampard.

I have never said it is not a good style, however, in the long term this season and considering the circumstances I don't think it is sustainable and this is because you are competing in 4 competitions with a thin squad in quality. That means you don't have the resources to maintain this standard over this period of time (which in this instance is a full season) and not just the first 25 minutes of the game or the first 20 minutes of the 2nd half, depending on when the intensity drops or increases.
