Is it possible for someone to send IV letter from Canada to the CA embassy here on behalf of the applicant?? They said the embassy would get the hard copy then we would get the print out.

i do not mean to bring old threads back, a quick question. who has been given Canada visit visas of late ? and what was the maximum validity for Nigeria citizens? was it up to 10 years?

You need to use Adobe Acrobat Reader specifically. The documents are not regular PDF docs. So download the document, then open with Adobe Acrobat Reader. That should work

Nothing more than the validity left on the Nigeria passport!

If you have the new passport with validity of 10 years you will be given a 10 year visa.

Hello guys, please I still did not know the right application forms to print and complete for a visa for conference purpose. I am the only applicant, and I am married.

Can someone advice if the below forms are the correct forms for me to complete:



(1) Form 5257

(2) Form 5257 Schedule 1 because I answered YES to the Background Information in Form 5257

(3) Form IMM 5645 Family Information

But I am seeing another Family Information form as IMM 5707? Which one is the correct Family Information form?

Any other form to complete in my category?

I am an Irish residence permit holder but I have decided to apply from Nigeria during my short visit and also because Nigeria is the best-centred I have my assets in. However, I am not sure if I can be able to get a decision within 3 weeks for paper application? I have no idea about Canadian visa application, so your answer and advice will be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance!

Hi, I also submitted my second application 24th June( Online) after getting rejected due to" Family ties in home & canada" , got email confirmation same day & got an email notiification saying my profile was updated 25th June but nothing was changed (Ghost mail). Since then till now my eligibility review is yet to be started . it has been 33 Days since submission and nothing yet, Online for nigeria says it takes 45days so lets see if that applies (12 days to go)

Like if they suddenly request for my passport because I don’t know how the shenghen own works and if I will have to submit my passport. I really need to go for vacation outside the country before Christmas.Please your responses will be highly appreciated

Did you get a notification when eligibility review started?

Schengen through France takes a while now. When I submitted in June I didn’t get my passport till middle of July almost 6 weeks and it was a renewal. It’s a gamble. Except you want you go ahead and if you need to submit for Canada you can request your passport back and then resubmit back.

schengen is like 15-30 Days if am not wrong am waiting for Canada reply too but i dont want to go BAck to europe again cause already been there in Italy and i wish to spend my xmas and new year in canada God Hope
