and our older generation will be behaving as if they never had fun in their life and all they did was go to school and church.
If they had fun then, are they having now?
They are not happy because they've only seen things getting bad more and more

War started in July so you can't say for sure that this event took place during the war.

Doesn't really look much like a club, I thing that was an organized party cos, when you look at the women there, they seem to be wearing same top.
My observation though! cool

I like this. How I wish things can go back like it used to in those days. That is night club.yet, everyone dressed decent all cover up with iro & buba with head gear sef unlike this days that everyone is virtually going naked in broad daylight talk more of the night.when some night clubs you go naked. Haaa! God this is how useless & worthless your children has became.

Ok

And they can't dance if they are not close to the DJ/sound system

Why not climb the speaker.

Please let us concentrate on the matter at hand.
How many days is remaining for Buhari to finish?
Still far bro

Post-independence there was a certain optimism, hope, pan-Africanism and "can do" spirit across Africa.

Maybe the euphoria concealed the fact that our countries in African were set up in a fragile way. That we needed to keep our eyes on the ball and do real hard work to progress.

I think at the end hope could not make up for the hard work, dedication and vision that were needed to succeed.

Their counterparts in England were already wearing miniskirts by then.

Interestingly, single mothers were scorned in the U.K then.

If you got pregnant, you either carried out a shotgun wedding or the child was given out for adoption without the willing but coerced consent of the mother's parents. To society back then, the "slut" had no say.

I'll never call someone that but that's how such women were viewed and that's the way they were treated.

I don't support that system. The mother should have a say whether she'll keep the child or not. However, she should bear the burden of child care and not the state. The present welfarist system has led to a total breakdown of morals because teenagers are shielded from the burden of cost of raising the child.

On the popular Jeremy Kyle show in England, the host asked the father of a pregnant 16 year old if he stood by his daughter in her condition and he replied yes. The host praised him for being a good father! What rubbish! If he or the girl bore the full burden, Britain would not lead in teenage pregnancies in the EU or probably Europe.

Actually on both sides , people were still going to parties, having fun.

Read a good book on the war..like the Borther's war. Even in the midst of fighting...life went on.

this was the age at which Nigerian youths got it wrong, the most focused ones were in Cambridge, harward and Oxford working out in the snow, this once were living a high life with a high price, look at the table today, failed generations who most of them never had a concrete investment, I've seen lot of pics like this and the words of regrets that followed as comments

Yes, why would they wear Aso Ebi to a night club?

More like those Owanbe that finishe late into the night.
