Hello guys, I have been planning to do Express entry , but my IELTS score is very low.

I'm thinking of giving school a second choice.

Where can I apply to with 2:2 computer Engineering (2015) and get cheap fees?

Qudkom I just read that you're in Thompson Rivers University, please what are my chances since I'm changing degree and I've no travel history. I'm applying for winter 2020, paid the acceptance fee already
It's usually harder gaining admission for 2nd degrees, sometimes VOs want to see academic progressions and want to understand why you need a 2nd degree. Goodluck

I think most of us still waiting for visa should start thinking of deferring our admission, even though u get ur medical this week or next, it will still take minimum of two weeks to get your approval and we definitely can’t make d deadline of sept 4 only if u want to resume late and to the best of my knowledge that will be a serious disadvantages on our part.
My view on this though
It doesn’t work like that always...some people medicals get updated and they get approval within days. Deadline isn’t the 4th, that’s resumption. For my school, you can’t defer unless as at 17th sept, you are yet to get your visa. I really don’t see anything with late resumption. You can always catch up. But if you want to defer, it’s not a problem too

Good morning great people,
I am HND holder (lower credit) in Electrical Electronic engineering with 4years working experiences in engineering firm and I am 31yrs old.
I want to enrol in any universities or colleges in Canada for my Post graduate diploma or certificate since HND can't be used for direct master program.

My requests:
1. House, Can you kindly list schools that I use my HND certificate to enrol for my PGD in Canada.

Thanks in anticipation

IELTS General for Post graduate admission - NO
IELTS General for Express Entry - YES

IELTS general is solely for immigration purposes and not for academics. More so, you don't require an english proficiency exam as a prerequisite prior to your acceptance into any of the Canada's DLI in view of the fact that Nigeria is an English speaking nation as well as during your undergraduate studies all instructions were carried out in English language.

Is it possible to change from a university to college after getting to canada. I feel like going for a pgd in fanshawe college.
I've paid my full tuition and don't even know if it possible to get it back in full.

Owoch:

Lol.
Hopefully a guru will come to our rescue. I just hope it's possible.

Yes you can change over to any course or institution in Canada after a Study Permit has been issued provided that you've received an official acceptance letter from the college you're intending to transfer to in Canada. However, you need to inform IRCC about this change via your MyCIC Account through this medium https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/study-canada/change-schools/account.html and also proof that you've officially withdrawn from the University. That being said, you don't need to apply for a fresh study permit.

Please has anyone experienced this issue where applications is showing approved and passport request but no letter of introduction?

Congratulations on your approval. This isn't something you should worry about.

For those that are currently facing this or in future will encounter this simply send a CSE to Kenya, Nairobi Immigration office and you will receive the introduction letter updated on your MyCIC Account within 24 hours.

I HAVE BEEN APPROVED OF MY VISA, BUT I AM YET TO RECEIVE AN INTRODUCTION LETTER ON MYCIC ACCOUNT

Below is a drafted sample mail by me that you can send to the Kenya Immigration office;

Hello Respected Sir/Ma,

I hope this mail meets you well. My name is XXXXXXXX , I am a successful Canadian study visa applicant. I write to inform you that my application was approved on DD/MM/YYYY and my visa has also been appended on my passport. However, I haven't received an official introduction letter from your office which I am to submit to the immigration officer at the point of entry into Canada and that troubles me a lot as my course intake is drawing near, and my flight has already been booked for DD/MM/YYYY.

Kindly assist me with this issue and expedite the processing of my introduction letter. I do not want to miss classes and the orientation week as that would make it difficult for me to adjust later, putting into account the difficulty of settling down in a new country as an international student.

I am looking to getting your immediate and positive response.

High Regards,

XXXXXXXXXX
