World people. I no do night work again. After forsaking utd match, so I fit gain money(as those ones dey gain too). I wait tire for the ratings. Sleep wake, nothing. Just to wake up this morning to 2. Three issues: Punctuation stuff. Elipsis. Misheard. I'm no longer doing night call. E don happen to me before. My work starts at 8 now and ends by 2. I can't cry. I can't. Seems those night raters are more strict. 1 Like |

Biritiko:I encountered this once. Learnt from it and all my works are constant 5s. The issue is from the wrong use of pauses and period. When a misuse is done it causes wrong understanding of the statement hence the segmentation issue. Solution: Learn the various instances when a comma should be used. Ex: Relative adjective clauses, dependent clauses etc. When you break the statement well, you'll get the punctuation correct. Best regards. ![]() ![]() 6 Likes |

Celebsnews: SUPERPACK: Biggieboy: Biritiko: thorrvik55: The response to my first post on the previous thread as a newbie was laced with subtle insult but I picked the help and moved on. I’m sure most of us here share the same story. I was just curious to know if the opportunity was actually legit before I invested my time in it and I got a nasty response. I had to back read and didn’t have to ask questions again until I started cashing out. Now that I am on the other end of the table, I can now see how annoying such a question that can be. What we seek to achieve with this thread is to provide an encyclopedia of resources and also a forum for us who are in this together to rub minds and it looks like we are moving towards this common goal. To the Newbies – Kindly read from the first post on this thread before posting your inquiry as most of your questions have been answered before. You can type the keywords of your inquiry in the search box if you’re feeling lazy. And don’t be too emotional because in the end, it’s getting the needed help that really matters. To the ‘Oldbies’ – Kindly temper justice with mercy as you continue the good work of providing help and guidance to Newbies on this thread. Ignore stupid questions where necessary. Remember you were once a newbie. 6 Likes |

INSTANTCASH345: Well, when I joined this great community, I was having an account with both GTB and ACCESS but I decided to follow instructions and went for an AFRICARD. What I'm trying to say is that 98% of people here are making use of AFRICARD but if you actually opened for a friend and it was successful, I'd suggest you follow same procedure for yours, except it was fluk or something else. But if you're not able to do yours after several trials, and you decide to go for an Africard, then page 40 is available and detailed. But you can also wait for people who linked with the access visa card and are withdrawing successfully to answer your questions. Remember :- one thing is to link your card and another thing is to withdraw successfully. Peace. 1 Like |

odizeey:I did an 18 minutes call last night, into midnight. And when I woke up again after about an hour, it had been rated 4. With this quality rating notes Non-adherence to guidelines in the FAQ - Uh-huh/Uh-hum should only be used as a response to a specific question *Punctuation and sentence structure errorsSo, they’re obviously not strict like you claim . What was the duration of the call you did? 1 Like |

So, I tried this 7 minutes call and actually got a 3 due to just wrong placement of a comma (according to QA standard), and mistakenly capitalilzing an "M". Lesson learned. I'm happy that I didn't see several errors unloke before. Gradually, we are moving. But this QA world rating sometimes depends on the agent who went through your work. Some are so harsh, some over look some things. But then, let's keep learning. 1 Like |

Hello everyone. Has anyone thought about how Nigerian companies do their transcriptions? I mean do they source it out to third party companies or employ their own transcriptors? |

odizeey:You make more mistakes at night, don't blame the system: I had 2 or 3 straight 5s, are your QAs different ![]() As a rule I avoid working at night because I've noticed my transcripts are always fraught with errors due to forcing the brain to work during odd hours. 2 Likes |

Re: Self Employment Opportunity: Transcribing For A Living In Nigeria Part 1 by samsard(m): 11:08am On Aug 20, 2019 |
odizeey:That's the problem with people, it's your effort when you win but blame the rater when you lose out. I get 3s too and I read through and notice my mistakes. If you're so confident od what you did, go to slack and dispute the rating, especially when you get a 3 or 4 and see if they don't uncover more of your errors. I've had Hausadreturn go through my scripts before, and he was picking so many mistakes I told him it was enough. I've had my transcription resent for QA coz the SCC was like, "the QA missed so many things." 3 Likes |

samsard:So the problem you having is with a simple "seems the raters at night are more strict?" statement. Like what the hell. If you read my response to Britiko, I clearly said I'm not blaming the sys oga. If I thought I was perfect, then why would I be anxious for the ratings(cos there might be errors). I no understand your own for the matter again. |
Re: Self Employment Opportunity: Transcribing For A Living In Nigeria Part 1 by samsard(m): 11:33am On Aug 20, 2019 |
odizeey:I had three 5s in one night, one just a few minutes before 1:00 am, so who's fixated here? Are they humans? Obviously. The idea that they're stricter at night is just a wild dream, people bang in as much 5s and we're not even in the same timezone. 1 Like |
